Sorry I have to have a moment to myself with this picture. Hey don't worry about your English. There are people in America that are far worse. I have to agree with you because I too like the 1st Gen MINIs better than the 2nd. Although I still wouldn't mind having an R56 along with my R53.

That street is fantastic, but at the same time is very stressful for brakes an tyres...dear Mini!

Howsoonisnow i love Mini GP but 18" wheels penalize the drive too much

Thankyou for the welcome to others too

Yes some penalty, the 18"s are harsh on bad streets, but not too many in area that I usually drive. My tyres are 225/35-18 so I can feel everything on road, thinking of buying 225/40-18. In East Coast I had to get 17"s because of bad roads, I do have 15"s but that is for track only. Pics of 15s, 17, and oem 18 in Gallery.

Are there some problems with the police with illegal size tyres?

I usually travel with 205/50 r15 on R50 and 205/55 r15 on R53 but in Italy the risk is great...instead the handling is fantastic, expecially on uneven roads

No problems with The Police. It is not illegal in California. I do have 205/50-15's too but for track only, the GP sit too low with the 15s. So, is it illegal to mount non-oem sizes in Italia? So, you have 2 MINI's?
