Picked her up last night!

Too bad it was nasty and snowing so I did not get to drive hardly at all.

She is so beautiful the Hot Chocolate paint and Hot Chocolate leather looks so good together. Having had a 02 Cooper for almost eight years it was amazing how different the Clubman feels.

Hope the roads clear up today so I can put at least a few miles on her and I can't wait to look at her in the day light.

Congrats, MINI2002. Even if you only get her to the end of your driveway, a short drive in a MINI is better than no drive at all.

Be safe and enjoy the day.

Picked up the Camden late today and boy is it awesome. Made the wife cry!

Hey ML, Walked into the showroom and there was a nice OB was looking sweet. Thats a cool color!

Also was a Hot Chocolate regular MINI which looked great too.

Try to get some pics in tomorrow. I need to get the road grime off from our 1 1/2 hour drive home. I'm hoping to get it clayed and waxed tomorrow also and get the snows on it. I just spent 3 hours playing with the NAV, stereo and phone setup. Man that Nav is nice. We are glad we got it after our 1st impressions of it.

Hey Erik, your MA said you were in to get yours so we will need pics soon and to hear how you like it!

Looking Good! Except for the snow. Man I'm starting to hate snow. Have you had any time to motor yet? I just put the snows on the Camden today and checked her over. I can't find anything wrong with it!

My wife and I went up to the Saucon Valley shops yesterday. That was a nice drive up route 309 until we hit the construction in Coopersburg. Wow is that town named after a Mini?

Anyway, saw three other Minis up there. Chile Red, Pepper White <-- (I talked to the owner) and a 2002 Yellow. I also spoke with the owner of the Yellow Cooper for a few minutes, had had seen my car and pulled up right next to it. Nice gentleman, told he had 130,000 miles on her and never had an engine problem.

10 AM, Saturday March 6th. Crown MINI of Richmond. Something tells me I won't be sleeping the night of the 5th. I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve!

Thanks for the pics and sorry for the snow, guys. I keep telling myself that there is no way we will get snow in VA after March 6. Right?

Dogdal: Do you have the black and white seats in the Camden? I really thought they were slick when I was looking at the different options.

No we opted for the black leather instead. My wife had the cloth seats on the one she traded in and wanted a change.

Yeah we always see at least one MINI when shopping up there. Oh and by the way check your air pressure in your tires. Ours was 49lbs in every tire. But thats the only thing I found wrong.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if someone could give me the average time it takes for the MINIs to be loaded on to the ships after production? I called ASK-MINI and the automated option said that my MINI's production was complete and is awaiting transport.

The wait is killing me!

Thanks for any help

Hi,

Here is the timeline for my car, it should give you a better idea.

Completed production 02/05/2010 waiting for transport to Southampton
Booked and recieved into WW terminal on 02/09/2010 at 07:54
Loaded on vessel Madame Butterfly on 2/16/2010 at 15:52
Ship departed 02/17/2010
Ship is currently somewhere around the Panama Canal, then 10 more days to Port Hueneme.

Hope this helps

Does it seem weird that my MA can't tell me anything better than "This Week"? Why can't they get ahold of the VDC and figure out when it left/is leaving? It's been three months since I ordered and I'm getting very impatient.

And miniusa.com is of no help - it says my car is still on the boat, even though I know it was taken off the boat last Thursday.

Did your car come over on the Don Carlos? I assume that the storm that hit the NYC area last Thursday/Friday slowed down being able to truck them to their final dealerships. They may have a logjam of MINIs that needs to get out.

My MA has promised this Saturday for me, which will make a nice, even six weeks from order date to pickup date. Since some of you have been waiting much, much longer, I can't complain.

I checked WW shipping schedules and it seems the next vessel (Faust) isn't arriving and leaving from South hampton until March 15. [sigh]

So my car will have sat at the port for 12 days... :/
