new '09 white cooper s convertible
new '09 white cooper s convertible
We are new to the forum, and to new mini ownership. I had owned an "original" mini many years ago in England
This beautiful white cooper s (that white is stunning...almost ivory?) is a replacement for a Honda S2000.
Only 400 miles on the clock so far....have noticed it idles quite unevenly/roughly. is this a common feature of this engine? A running in issue? Or is it something of concern?

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the new MINI. I have heard no comments about "running rough" from anyone who wasn't having some sort of problem, so I don't think it is a normal complaint. I would have it checked out by the service department. I have never had any thing like that happen with my '09.
Maybe exaggerated somewhat....it just seems a little less than SMOOTH at idle.....but maybe I have been away from smallish inline 4s for too long.
Loving the damn thing.....cuteness and all....except the infuriatingly useless "top-down" gauge. An extreme example of "trying too hard". Would be a perfect place for some temp and boost gauges!
