My car is at the dealership and I am NOT ready....eeks! Need to sell my car and waiting for extra cash...ugh...this is truly hell! I was one of the few who was counting on the 6-8 wks instead it came in 4 wks!!!

Papester- I can infer that the dealer is reneging on the price you guys had agreed upon... or that they are "forcing " you to buy unwanted "stuff."

I hope you stay your ground... walking away is the wisest thing to do if they do not fulfill the agreement... you can always go to another dealer and may even get a better deal... I do realize that you may have to wait another six weeks... BUT the principle is FAR more important. Methinks.

Just heard from my MA - my car is IN! Pretty amazing considering that the Tomar just docked at Port Hueneme on Friday, and I'm in Arizona. Certainly didn't spend much time at the VDC.

I will likely pick up tomorrow, or possibly tonight if they lean on me to get the deal signed in November, as today is the last day. I still haven't ordered my wheels & tires, which I'd intended to have on hand by the time the car arrived. The ridiculously fast turnaround time for my order has caught me somewhat off-guard.

My MA just called a little while ago and Moonpie made it to the dealership today! I'm very excited to say I'm picking her up tomorrow!

Jerod @ Irvine MINI emailed me and said that my car has arrived. Picking it up after work today! That is amazing speed at the VPC in Port Hueneme as others had mentioned. They must have worked on Saturday.

Congrats... and WOW... that is so fast to get your MINI. Mine arrived on 11/22 at port H. and I picked her up 11/27. I ordered her at Irvine too.

 

Aggggrahhhhh... This is frustrating!!

Do to "scheduling conflicts" We can't get up to Irvine till Wednesday morning!!

Depending on how long it takes we may check out Wet Okole and then "do" Newport Beach for lunch before heading home.

Papestar, the dealer really went belly-up? They take your deposit with them? How about a local BMW dealer helping you out? Any others around? I'd call MINI corporate, which I'm sure you've thought of. UGH, so sorry for your nightmare!

My MINI is waiting for me at the dealer and I'm trying to hurry up and catch up. I think I was really a week 46er but made the boat with you guys. My MA def was pushing for me to pick up today prolly cause end of the month, but no where close to being ready nor have the time. Gonna send me into panic mode!! 4 weeks was way too fast for me! Will get it as soon as I can! Killing me to know it is just sitting there. I should have waited longer to order!

 

Just got through sitting in the car and going through the manuals. Love the Bluetooth & iPod adapter. iPhone works great with the set up.

Jerod was first rate through the entire deal. Spent a bit too much time in the finance office listening to the tire/wheel warranty, gap insurance, extended maintenance offer. Any thoughts on the wheel/tire warranty deal? That is the only one that might be of interest and I have "up to two days" think about it.

The JCW checkered floor mats are VERY cool. The "stripe" guy is coming to my business to install the silver sport stripes tomorrow afternoon. After that, I will post some pics.

RE: Wet Okole - those seat covers are cool - they were offering an extra $50 off - the owners, Jan & Phil, are clients of mine w/ my other business - Hemphill's Rugs & Carpets in Costa Mesa - they are REALLY nice people!
