Jeep and New MINI owner
Howdy everyone,
After admiring them since the first day I sat in one at the dealer the first year of release, I finally picked up a used 06 MC with around 11k miles last week. I have to say I am liking it a lot more than I thought I would. I have always been a Jeep guy (kept my Wrangler of course) and find that there are a lot of similarities between the two vehicles and communities. I even get a fair share of the Mini Wave just like when driving my Jeep. Beyond this both vehicles are probably the most iconic vehicles in their class with great histories and instantly recognizable bloodlines. (Another bonus is that the set of torx heads I already owned for working on the Jeep now get to play double duty with the Mini.) I really cannot think of a funner pair vehicles and hope to own them both for a long time.

welcome!
I learned to drive (and drive a stick) on a 1984 Cherokee 4.0. If you can drive and be smooth on one of those, you can drive *any* clutch and gearbox! There are still a few Wranglers and Cherokees in our family too.
Enjoy your cars.

Welcome! I switched over from a Jeep Wrangler to my first MINI. Shifting is a bit different between the two, that's for sure! The mpg's are a bit different, and the power, but indeed, both are a blast to drive.
Well I surely understand your thoughts and share them both are iconic models. In my case in top of the MCSa and the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon I added a Can-am Spyder tricycle... It is a fun trio...
