My Mini, made me CRY..that computer is crazy..

I'm trying to read the entire Owner's Manual, that is so confusing mixing up features of Convertibles and special "convience package" that I didn't purchase ... But still reading that section, thinking its part of my car..
So, I can't even operate the computer central heating and air in my house, to program it right... I've still the same basic old school cell phone! and moving from a basic push the pedal and go Toyota ! to this on board computer Mini I got so frustrated ! pushing that darn SET/INFO and hold ....but of course, I don't hold it in long enough! and with the engine going!! it like the mini is Yelling at me!!
or I take so long looking at the book, the darn computer just goes back to normal setting. I'm a slow reader.... "I'm ready to just give Up

Don't try to learn it all in the first month.

Maybe you should make a list of question then call your SA and ask for a little tutoring session and have her/him go over your questions.

When you get more familiar with the terminology the manual will not be so daunting.

Hang in there, you will get it.

thanks...I just learned how to make the lane change signal, go from one click to Three Clicks...I was wondering why the last 2 days, when I wanted to change lanes, it would only give me '"one" click! I didn't know, I could change it... I'm a bit calmer, now that I ate some Razoos Bread Pudding

Ladyvalea,

If you join the Mini Owners Lounge (free) they have some videos that can be downloaded that go over some of the features on the mini. You might find these helpful.

Here's the link...

https://ol.miniusa.com/

You'll need to register. After you sign in, click on "Your Mini" which is located on the top menu. Then click on "Your Mini" videos.

Hang in there. Once you set the options (one flash vs. 3 etc.) the way you want it you will not have to go back into the set up menu. Some of the settings are stored on the key so if you change keys the options match the new key. You will not need to adjust these settings after the initial setup. Beautiful MINI! Happy Motoring
