We'll ALL tell you not to worry! But of course you'll worry anyway!

I'm sure they got it off the ship, but it doesn't seem to be a priority to update their website. And the OL takes forever... I have a feeling I'll still be En Route when I'm getting my first oil change...

The don Carlos is back on Marinetraffic.com. It looks like they took a right turn at Virginia Beach and went inland for a hundred miles or so. Maybe there's a more favorable current inland. Whatever...they 're back on the water again.

Unless you enjoy anxiety..don't worry. I haven't read of a single incidence of WW "forgetting" they had to take a car off.
Your car is very likely at the VPC as we speak.

Complaining here because every time I complain on here I end up getting info.

Arrgh, my OL doesn't even say the car's at the VDC yet, when it should have gotten there last Friday. And arrgh, my MA said he would call me yesterday with details and he didn't. And arrgh I need to know when my car will be in so we can arrange to take off from work to pick it up.

I think my car is here in Nashville and that the guys at the dealership are just enjoying the HK too much to let me come get it. :P

Very Close!

Hey,
My MA sent me an email yesterday to let me know that my Mini was at the dealership. I can pick up on Wednesday, Tuesday is the MA's day off. I guess I can't fault the guy for taking a day off. I can wait one more day. Not bad, ordered on Saturday, Septmeber 19th and delivered October 26th. Pretty amazing when you think about the whole process. Good luck to those still waiting. I will be in touch after I take delivery.
Go Phillies!

OL is always late. I don't know how you check the status with KLine. Maybe your MA is just messing with you and will call anytime with a 'come pick your car up'.

Looks like Don Carlos is turning into another Turandot. Disappeared south of Baltimore with apparently a brief appearance last night. I haven't seen it on either sailwx or marinetraffic!!! Was about 12 hours behind schedule but they have moved up the Port Hueneme schedule to the 10th Now for 2 long weeks to Panama and Port Hueneme.

This 3 week boat ride is killing me. I'd pay a little extra to have it flown here. LOL OK, so the Turandot is lost, but it will arrive in CA this Friday. Yay! Now, the question is how long will my car be at the VDC and when will it get to CO? I'm crossing days off my calendar at work. Ugh. I've already bought the matching Redwood steering wheel, shift ****, shift boot and E-Brake boots. Just smelling the leather on these little parts is giving me anxiety. Help!

Sorry I've been off line for a few days. Had a nice trip to San Francisco. Wow, there are a lot of MINIs there. My MINI is in GA now. Hopefully on a truck soon headed home to TX. By the way...My wife named it Napoleon. I'm not so sure about that.

Sounds like you'll be busy once you get your car. I'm going to be watching you closely...to see how long it takes from the VDC to delivery!! Then I'll know approximately how long for mine once Don Carlos docks. Sure wish ours was on the Turandot...it was there and scheduled to be loaded on it. Oh well, I'll just keep telling myself better than Jan or Feb.

Alright! OL updated to say I'm at the VDC, so Sriracha's probably sitting in the back lot at MINI right now!

Definitely. I'm hoping Ralph Schomp will get my car next week so I can have it by next weekend. That would be awesome. I even have an extra set of Bridge Spoke wheels with winter tires all ready to go. Not happy about the snow, but the car will be fun! Hang in there. You're car will be here before you know it!

Boy, am I on board with these feelings! Used to sit and look at catalog pix of my "wish list" when I was a kid, waiting for Christmas. Just got a nice fat catalog of parts and accessories from Moss Mini in the mail, so I've been recreating the experience. Lots of cool stuff and some absolutely bizarre stuff (Mini center console cuckoo clock...only 147.95!). Helps pass the time. Of course I do have a day job...but who can think with a MINI on the way?

YEAH!

My MA just called! Sriracha has been released to the dealer, which means he'll be on his way to Nashville shortly. I can pick him up on Friday!

I was approved for the awesome 3.9% financing, too, which just further makes my day!

Hey Jay, whereabouts in San Diego? I lived in San Diego for years. Clairemont, Mira Mesa, Tierra Santa, El Cajon, Pacific Beach. Navy brat and worked for SDG&E for 25 years.

Yeah, I'm hoping they will extend the 3.9% financing as well. It's not my fault MINI can't deliver a vehicle to the west coast faster than the east coast. MINI should extend this offer to vehicle's already built and in transit. Right?

Well, it *is* worth asking your MA. My MA let me apply for my financing last week, before my car was at the dealership and before he knew for certain when it would get there. Maybe there's a window in which they can let you apply for the financing even though your car isn't there yet.

The worst they can say is "no!"

Wow! You DID live all over the county! We're up in the North County, but pretty far inland. Right at the base of Palomar Mountain. That's one of the reasons I'm looking forward to the Mini- lots of wonderfully curvy roads on my commute every day. Should be just a bit more fun than the Versa I'm driving now. My only worries are getting it up and down the dirt road we live on...but if I have to take it easy for a few minutes until I'm on pavement I'm sure I'll manage

I just spoke with Port Hueneme shipping info. And they said the Turandot is coming in early in the morning on Friday. It should take most of the day to unload the cars. So it looks like not much will happen until Monday.
So the only unknown is how long it will take for the distribution center to deal with our cars and get them on the trucks to the various dealers. I am still thinking that my dealer in Long beach CA should have the car by Friday.

Yeah, I asked before posting. My MA told me "let's hope they extend the offer since they can't lock in the rate".
