Hey, just bought a 2005 JCW version mini, can you tell me what that means?
I've seen codes R53-55 & 56, what code is my car?
What generation is my Mini ?
Has 62,000 excellent body for $11,000 - is the price good or I've been suckered?

Also, do I need to be a paid member before I can post a thread in "wants to buy"?

JCW, John Cooper Works. Its an upgraded S model; different intake slightly smaller supercharger pulley, suspension upgrades...

As far as the codes go it is the same as the 2002-2006 Cooper S hardtops, R53.

Sounds like you got a pretty good deal.

This is the First time I bought a front wheel drive car.
All my cars are rear drive.

 

The Cooper S is about 168hp. The factory installed JCW was listed at about 210hp. But I thought the factory JCW was became available for 2006 models. I'm not sure about the dealer installed JCW kits. I'm sure someone will chime in and correct me or add some info soon.
