Hello. New MINI Owner
Hello,
Wayne Johnson here from Panama City, Florida. I'm 61 years old and have owned all kinds of cars, trucks, and a few motorcycles. I trade about every two years, and have decided to give up driving SUV's.
I've been looking for something "fun", like a Subaru WRX, Mazdaspeed3, Volkswagen GTI, etc. I've always admired MINI's at a distance, but one day I took a closer look at one and said, "This is what I've been looking for!".
Well, I got one of the remaining 2009's at MINI of Pensacola; a Clubman S, pepper white with black trim. My one compromise to "fun" was automatic transmission, because my wife just can't tolerate a stick shift.
I was looking for a late model used MINI, but with 1.9% financing, a new one seemed to make more sense for me.
Excuse me for rambling on, but I just haven't been this excited about a car since high school!

I'm a nOOb too.
I am loving my MINI.
Before I got my MINI, I never even thought about cars, except to go from point A to B.
It's all changed now...
Perhaps I will see you motoring about Florida?

One of the hardest things you will do is trying to explain to others just what it is about the MINI that makes driving it so much fun. It is not "just a regular car" and a trip to the dry cleaners becomes fun - go figure!!
