Locked out

Hi All,
New here and need help. I think the door lock cable stretched out on my 05 MCS, today I could not get out of the drivers side door. When I came home I parked in the garage, left the keys in the cup holder, shut the door. Later I went to go out the button was up like the door was unlocked but I cannot get in. My question is can the dealer make a valet key to open the door only so I can get in through the passenger side?

I had a similar incident a while back where I had left it running and the drivers door lock stuck halfway and would not open with the passenger door locked as well. My 2nd key was at home 900 miles away.Called the dealer and they said sorry keys have to be ordered which takes 2-3 days. Save yourself 200+ dollars for a locksmith and wedge a blood pressure cuff in between the glass and rubber seal, pump it a few times and you can easily reach a clothes hangar in to pull the door handle.

Thanks for the advice OxyBlue, I think the door latch cable is too far gone to open, I had trouble getting out from inside, I sam torn between getting the valet key from the dealer or a locksmith.

All is okay now. Went to the dealer and they sent roadside out and opened the car at no charge, of course I slipped the nice tech a tip!
