I recently fell in love with classic MINIs! It all began when I was walking with my wife to an evening event and saw a yellow vintage RHD mini with checkers and all. It was Love at first sight...for both me and my wife. Since then (1 month ago) I have not been able to stop looking at vintage MINIs in search for our own! I am not allowed to get one yet, but my searching has not stopped.

I was told by my wife just yesterday that I can get one in the fall of this year! I am already making a list of the "important features" that our MINI is going to have!

One question I have is how safe are vintage MINIs? I know the newer MINIs are pretty safe, but they also have all of the advanced crash technology.

I obviously don't plan on ever getting in a wreck, but does anyone have experience or tips on this?
