I'm confused.
My MA told me that my car was a no show at the dealer. It was supposed to be there Wednesday. He said that it should show up next week. (I was really hoping to pick it up on Monday). But when I go to MINIUSA, there is no longer ANY link to track my car. I'm hoping it DID show up and he just did not know it yet. He's out of the office for a couple of days. We'll see what happens next week. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.

FYI, ours was "at the VDC" according to the Owners Lounge when we picked it up, and then magically that link disappeared to "track your mini" but then the link showed back up last night and still says her Mini is "at the dc" even though we've had it for over 48 hours, haha

 

You'd think that there would be a better system out there, wouldn't you?

 

Picked up Byron on Friday. I've got a 100 miles on him so far and loving every minute of it!

I haven't install the spoiler or driving lights yet

Mine is still not to the dealer......Delivery was scheduled for fri 7-3 then Sun 7-5 and it's monday and still no mini...We are all anxious to get it. Sent an e-mail to my MA this morning and will call if I don't get a response.

My MA called today. My car found its way to the dealership over the holiday weekend. Cleaned and prepped today, 3M clearbra and roof graphic tomorrow, pick it up on Wednesday afternoon.

This has been a looooooooong weekend!

Did I mention that I am impatient?

 

Heard from my MA today, ETA is now 7-10, Friday! What a bummer . That means probably won't get it until monday. that stinks. They are waiting on 20 other MINI's I was told.

 

The wait is over. We picked her up at 1pm today. Love her. Now the fun part, driving

Are you going to install the driving lights yourself? I'm very interested in a pair, but I think the price for dealer installation is highway robbery. I'd like to know how difficult this is, and if it requires any intense electrical work like soldering or tapping wires.

 

Yes, I plan to install them myself. No soldering involved. It looks to be straight forward. The lights will be here Monday, so I'll be installing the following weekend. I'll let you know how it goes.

I haggled my MA into installing all the dealer options for the total price of the car. Told him if he didn't agree to the price I would just go to Mountain View or Concord where they agreed (I lied) to install them for the same price.

 

YAY! Nice interior choice, same as my wife's (as you probably say in the photos). Some Meguiars Leather Polish really makes the red leather look AWESOME!

 

Liquid, I noticed that you had the same interior from your pictures. I really like it a lot. We also added the wood grain for something a little different.

I really can not say enough good things about my MA and the dealership that he works for. Charlie, at Motorwerks Mini in Bloomington did an outstanding job. Like others have experienced in the various threads, Motorwerks must have several cars in line, ready to be built. I think that they just assigned me to one of those. I ordered it on 6/2 and drove it off of the lot on 7/8!! Yes it was hard to watch it go through the different phases of build, shipping and delivery, but still, a pretty fast cycle.

I chose this dealer because of how they treated me with my BMW 325Xit. Great service, very friendly and always going above and beyond as far as being helpful and never rude. I think that BMW and MINI are premium cars and, at least in this case, Motorwerks is a premium dealer. One day old, and I'm STILL really happy!!

 

WooHoo! our MINI arrived yesterday! BooHoo, won't get to pick it up until Wednesday next week 'cause their invisishield installation guy is on vacation, Crap! I've waited this long what's another week.

MoJo left the Oxnard VDC on Wednesday, still haven't heard from my MA in San Fran though. Only took 16 days to get from Southhampton to Oxnard not bad as everyone was saying 3 weeks. Was in the VDC for 1.5 days and then off on the transport truck, According to OL online my delivery date at the Dealer was supposed to be 07/08/09. Wasn't getting itchy before, but I sure am now...

 

No pepper white, the kids won out "arrest me red" is the color of choice. Rooster red interior red color line, anthracite headliner. black sport stripes, top, mirror caps. There is a HC JCW on the lot and has been there since last Oct. but they weren't interested in selling it. (dead battery, not too willing to swap battery from other car)

 

It's Here! It's Here! It's at SF Mini having the driving lights etc put on, By wednesday it'll be mine..... all mine.... ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha .....

OK, it's Thursday, where are the pics? I must confess I took lots of pics last night but got home too late to post anything and slept in today and diddn't bring camera with me to wk.

 

Drove him home today, somehow the rear spoiler was left off as I didn't check the list carefully, but will be on soon.

You are getting the exact color combo that I wanted, all the way down to the interior! Was going to do the stripes on the roof also. This will be our second mini, and I let my oldest pick the color combo since it will be his to drive in two years.
