Well I am in the paint shop today, should put me together tomorrow, then lets see, about more 5 days I might be at the shipyard... so maybe the 27th I will find a boat? yehhaa!

 

Pretty much. Mine was completed on 5/7, received at the terminal on 5/12 and set sail 5/13.

 

My Mini is on the Don Pasquale too! It is supposed to arrive in Brunswick, GA, on the 25th of May. If I knew the exact date that I would get it then I would definitely be counting down the days.

 

All right, another DP mini!

I've been told about 2 or 3 days at the VDC (assuming no damage), and then about the same to deliver to your dealer... about a week in total.... so likely expect it around the 31st?

 

Aww.. looks like the DP was delayed at sea. The WW site shows that all arrival dates have been pushed out a day..

Halifax on Thursday, 21 May
NY on Saturday, 23 May
Georgia on Tuesday, 26 May.

Considering it's a holiday weekend anyways, this probably won't impact us much.

 

Well, that's ok. I wasn't going to get my hopes up on getting it by the end of May. Who knows? It could still happen.

I better have this thing by the end of may. Otherwise, I may have to kill someone. Not really, but you get the point.

 

I understand. If I hadn't ruined my own surprise, I would still be oblivious. Oh well! *sigh*

 

Mini is running a special 1.9/2.9/3.9 percent financing thru the end of May, so I'm very much interested in making the end of the month..

It's possible they will continue it into June, but no one yet knows if they will. Fingers crossed...

Pretty neat! Funny that in the Halifax pictures, you can't see the WW lettering on the side of the ship... it's riding very low in the water, and is likely still heavily loaded with cars. I wonder how many cars were dropped off in Halifax - how popular MINI is in Canada...

I am on the boat FEDORA, got on this morning (3:55:00 am cst) with a ETA June 8, Brunswick GA. I thought I was going to Charleston SC. guess not but that is 2 days earlier

The DP has "Liner Release" status as of 11:04 am in Brunswick, GA. Does anyone know what that means exactly? I'm assuming that that means that they have begun to unload, correct?

 

Yes, I'm now just awaiting a call from the dealer... should be any day now, I hope..

Lacy, where are you seeing the DP status? We never saw "Liner Release" in our status before..

 

On the WW website. It now says that it has been "Discharged." So it should be either at VDC or on its way there. The exact order was:

Customs Release: 26.05.2009 00:00:00
Liner Release: 26.05.2009 11:04:21
Discharged: 26.05.05 13:05:05

I kind of find it funny that they track things down to the second but I guess that maybe they're trying to track their efficiency and productivity levels.

That's funny... mine was discharged on the 23rd, but shows a customs release of today (the 26th). So much for being early :( I guess it sat out on the dock all weekend.

So yes, it's either at the VDC or on the way now. The 31st is looking like quite the stretch now...

 

I spoke to my dealer yesterday, and he said there's a possibility of actually picking up TOMORROW. Granted, this is just a possibility....but one can hope.

Otherwise, it's looking like Monday or Tuesday! Woo!
