I could be wrong, mine is next week also. someone posted a week 19 and it was last week?? but I am new to all this, counting the first week in Jan which starts in the middle of the week it would be 21 weeks? either case we both are in the same week... congrats!

I think we both have a pretty nice build up! My MA told me the date as 5-20-09 (I just kinda added up to be the 21st week?) either way WE are going to get our MINI's soon! before I ordered mine I was having a hard time picking between Laser Blue and Chili Red. I guess we have something like 6 weeks to go?

 

Color choice was easy for me coming off of Electric Blue previously. I regretted selling it the minute I handed over the keys..
I am an hour from the port of NJ so fortunately the process is quick once it makes land as long as there are no problems. I said I was not gonna follow online this time and yet I still find myself there once a day checking the status haha..

Are you planning any mods when you get Comet?

 

I already have two mods ordered. They are cosmetic mostly except for the last item.

1. I did not get nav because I have a few cars in the family so want to take the Garmin from car to car.. So.. with that said, I hate the blank look of the center stack if you do not get nav. I ordered their Black Jack monochrome union jack cover for that area. http://www.aestheticreations.net/3ddomeddecals.htm

2. I ordered a turbocharged emblem from Ebay. I had the same one that said supercharged on my R53 Cooper S. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-TUR...Q5fAccessories

3. Ordering side stripes in GT350 style and most probably shelby style hood stripes that go all the way down in the front and back..

4. Thinking of having my wheels powder coated white. The whole thing will be white and blue.

6. Front and rear sway bars. These are equal to the sport pack but you can do it for much less with quality product.

Mostly cosmetic also for starters, Tint windows, couple of black sport stripes all the way down the bumpers front and back, checker mirror caps and sunroof cover. and after break in 16% pulley. but all that could change by the time it gets here

 

Ahhh time to do a little bit of reading up in the R56 area. The 2007 on cars are turbo not supercharged so the pulley is not an option. I believe you said you are getting a JCW so you will have more power than the supercharged model with a 16%. I had 19% in my SC model and have driven the JCW car and I have no doubt its faster.

As for go fast mods.. There is not a whole lot out there for the JCW cars yet.. we are first year for factory built JCW.

 

The JCW should be plenty fast! I have heard that the pulley upgrade is a quick and cheap way to boost it up a little. seems like no one can decide on exactly how much it boost it up. at least on what I have been reading so far... at least I have something to read on to keep me busy while I wait.

 

This will be the first year for the factory built JCW? and it's MINI's 50th year!!

Hey.. This model does not use a pulley. Only the previous model did 02-06 model years. Since this is a turbo there is no pulley like a supercharger has.

Yep I agree that we are getting something really special! Trust me.. if you have not driven a 2009 works car, you will absolutely NOT be disappointed.

Hey!! I just got off the phone with Askmini.. I have my Birthday Yesterday!
5:16:10am May 11, 2009. they told me on the automated section that production will be completed 5/20/09. I called back and talked to a person she could tell me for sure how much would be done then (totally completed or just the production part) geezzzz I am all buzzen now
