Any other week 21 (2009)
BRGminime~
I just found out from Ask mini that I should stop bothering them and start bothering my MA
they told me the same, that my MA would have all the info from now on and to make them earn their commission and track it down for me!

Yes, Charleston,
I have the JCW hardtop comes with a bunch of extras, they have to add the aero kit or the steering wheel at the dealership. the aero kit was something like $1795 and $475 to install it, I did get lucky though it comes in Chili Red so no painting required. My whole car was something like $41,250
Hey all, a bit late to the game here, but my new MINI (a Chili Red Cooper S) is reported by ASK MINI to have been completed today as well, and "waiting for carrier".
How do you get your VIN, can I ask the folks on the ASK MINI line? I only have my production number at the moment.
Whereas I ordered my last MINI through Classic MINI in OH, this time I ordered through my local dealer, MINI of Mountain View in CA. So I guess this time I'll have to wait for a boat that comes through the Panama Canal. Anyone else in this production group waiting for a west coast delivery as well?

Thanks! It is indeed there. Last 5 digits are 99733. I just hadn't looked at the "Review Order Detail" part, as I remember the OL being always a little out of date compared to ASK MINI so I've been using the phone instead.
The OL still shows me as having ordered a "Cooper Hardtop" (as opposed to Cooper S Hardtop) which is a bit weird. My dealer reassured me when this first showed the wrong information though that it was just a weird system and that what they printed me off for the official order was in fact what would arrive. Can anyone confirm this?

Yeah, the only thing that worries me is that they had me down as a BRG Cooper at first, and that's when the dealer told me "don't worry", and later it changed but to a Cooper, not a Cooper S... Hrm.
Mine shows a "S" but Chili Red and when I call they said it was a JCW, mostly I have heard that it's common. no big deal, and they will have it right when it shows up. and seeing that we have NO control at all with it, I figured I would just trust them and not worry over it
It's hard enough just waiting on the dang things
Thanks for the advice! I did call and ask the representative and they confirmed it's really a Cooper S - whew.
Anyone know how long it usually takes to get delivery in California from this point (production complete)?

You know it's kind of surprising how little information is available through the Owners Lounge. Since all the records are via computer and you have to use your production number if you call Ask Mini why not relieve the stress on Ask Mini and provide more via the internet.
While I know mine has entered production and is scheduled to be finished on May 22 the O.L. still just shows scheduled for production. If I did know about A.M. I'd have to wonder if the car was ever going to be built.
Like everyone else - just watching the days go slowlllyy by.
BRG Clubby S hopefully soon to be on it's way to Michigan.

I though seeing how I have nothing better to do
I would put this link here that tells you how to add those badges to your signature. not that you have to just a FYI type of thing

Mine's at the port awaiting pickup now too.
From the link above to the Wallenius Wilhemsen shipping schedule, it seems like the only ship leaving to California soon is the Morning Charlotte, which leaves tomorrow (23 May)! And it arrives on 12 June to Port Hueneme, CA. I sure hope my MINI gets on that ship, because the next one after that doesn't seem to be until 6 June, which gets it to CA on 26 June, a whole two weeks later...
Does anyone have any experience? If a car makes it to the port one day before a ship, does it usually get on that ship, or does it usually have to wait?

Well, unfortunately the 23rd has come and gone and ASK MINI doesn't indicate that my car managed to get on the ship bound for California. So unless it's just slow to update, that means my car will sit in Southampton until June 6. :( Darn!
However, I'm going to be in London the first week of June, so contemplating a trip down to the docks in Southampton to see if I can spot my own car! :P

That would be wild to get a pic of you by your car
like really early. you are plugging your VIN in to the website to see if it's on a boat? http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/
Holy crap! It's been 5 years since I tracked a MINI and I forgot about the step to enter the VIN into the WW site! Thanks for reminding me, it turns out my MINI did after all make the "Morning Charlotte" which departed yesterday! It'll get to California on June 12, yay! Thanks for the pointer Atomic S! :D
