Waiting for 2010

I have been saving for a mini for about 2 years and as time has gone by I have become obsessed with the JCW. I was planning to buy a mini at about this time but due to the cost difference I am now looking at atleast August, possibly as late as October. So now I think I have put myself in the time frame of the 2010 mini. When does mini start shipping the next years model? Hopefully I won't have to wait much longer than October because it would be majorly difficult to have the money and yet have to sit and wait for the 2010 model to be released.

I believe September is when you will see the new 2010 MINIs. Or September is the start of the new model year production, someone will/can correct me if I'm wrong.

Good Luck Waiting that long, if you are already smitten with MINI it's got to be killing you...I know it would me!!

I wonder what changes are coming to the 2010 and if it's worth waiting a few extra months for one of them.

To the OP - The interior (centre console section that gets the most criticism for poor ergonomics and "cheap looking" materials) is expected to be revised. There may be some exterior tweaks as well. The interior revision will most likely be an improvement (I can't see it getting worse) so since you were planning an early fall purchase anyway, hang tight.

My wife's least favorite feature about the 2009 was the new console. She really loved the look of the older ones we drove around in (especially the one with chrome). I'd love to see some info on the expected revisions...even if it's just in rumor form.

I tell you I have had to chain myself to the bumper of my existing car a few different times to stop me from running down and ordering my mini I just keep reminding myself the longer I wait the smaller my monthly payment will be or maybe even an outright purchase which would be super cool.

True, but the longer you wait...the longer you are without the car. :-)

From: one of those ticky-tacky places that all look the same
I ordered a Clubman on April 1 and am still waiting for it to be " scheduled for production ". I was told I would have the car in 6-8 weeks and that the reduction in production would not effect delivery. The dealership has been non-communicative. So I am thinking of canceling and ordering a 2010 at the earliest opportunity. I am brand new too all of this and would appreciate any feedback. Thank you. Ray
