2006 MINI stalling out - three times in three months - Yikes!

Anyone having stalling issues with their 2006 cooper. I have had this problem
repeatedly about once a month for the past three months. Towed to the dealership but they cannot duplicate the stall. Of course, it doesn't happen around the dealer. Any support will be greatly appreciated.
No light warnings, it just happens without warning.

My 06 MC has stalled a few times, but it usually happens when it is cooler outside and I have just started the car and taken off without warming the engine up. Actually, it just did it a couple of days ago. I came out from work, got in the car in the afternoon, and took off.....went about a block and tried to take off from a stop and the car nearly stalled. Press the gas and the car hesitated and coughed a couple of times.....engine light came on just momentarily and then it finally took off and fine after that.

I have a feeling that it is fuel related myself. Do you get your gasoline at the same place all the time? Maybe you could try filling up with Shell or Marathon (or similar top tier) exclusively to see if it makes any difference. I fill up at Costco from time to time and I'm just about convinced that my MC doesn't really run that great on it....less power over all and then this periodic stall/cough thing.

Keep us posted. I doubt you are the only one.

Thanks to Stalling Out Too!

I tried the upgrade in gas. But many have commented that they have the problem and it is related to the fuel pump.
Thank for the reply, I will keep your comments stored.

Fuel pump, bad quality gas, or computer software (DME) problems are some of the possible causes.
