Hi I'm new to NAM

hello. I've been checking out this site for a long time and decided, it couldnt hurt to join! I have a 2005 MCS Hyper Blue and couldnt be happier. I've had it for about a year and I still giggle at it.

Anyway I do have a question hopefully someone knows how to answer...

I found a thread on here that sorta answered my question but I'm still lost. I replaced the front brake pads last week and also the sensor since it went off. anyway the darn light is still on and Im really hoping there is a way to turn it off or reset w/o taking it into the shop. Anyone know a sequence of how to reset these lights? And I am not knowledgable at all about engines, computers and whatnot so I need an answer an uneducated girl would understand lol. thanks!

If you put the brake pads and new sensor in correctly, the light should go out. Unless something else is wrong. Have you had the brake fluid flushed recently? How are the rear pads?

Never had the brake fluid flushed and the rear looked good for another 5000 or so I think but I dont know much! there was another thread somewhere that gave me a series of things to do to get it to reset, but I guess I didnt understand because I went thru it 5 times and nothing.

Nothing to do with the brake light, but how were your rotors?

Friend said they werent perfect but they could go for a while longer. I figured when I get the rears replaced I'll get the rotors too. Friend that changed the fronts used to work in a BMW service dept. so i think he knows what hes saying but then again he could just be feeding me BS so I have to call him again
