New here

I am new here obviously. I don't have a Mini right now. But I do plan on getting one in the next 6 to 8 months. I plan on getting the JCW one. If you could give me a good idea of stuff to take into consideration mechanically and cosmetically. Also what would be some good first mods.

I would start with Miniusa.com. use the configurator and look at all your options. There is also a lot of good info here on what owners have liked and not liked with what they ordered. Welcome from North Carolina.

x2 from Indy !

Think of the search tool as your MINI-biased easy button. There's a ton of experience to draw from here, from recommendations and maintenance, to full-on racing and everything in between. Good luck

Ya I have done that and found pretty much everything I would like from the factory from there. But I was wondering about aftermarket support.

I'm surprised you're looking into aftermarket mods already. The car is awesome just from the factory. Have you test driven the car?

The JCW is still very new, so engine mods might be limited. I'm not sure, I haven't looked into aftermarket mods. I'll consider it when the warranty expires.

I test drove my bodies Mini put it was the old s/c model I think his is a 03-04. It had about the same pep as my Spec V. I want to make it my own. But mostly I just like the hobby of modding cars. Its slow and painful but the rewards are awesome.
