thanks for reading my post i'm a new member here.

i'm planning to get my very first mini in feburary, i am currently shopping for a used 05-06 msc.

i would like to know what the average mileage should be on a 05-06 msc model. i've seen anywhere between 3k to 90k but mostly around 45k... is that okay on a used mini? also can you please tell me what i should be looking out for when purchasing a used mini? like break wears or suspensions and such...

I can't help alot except to say that I have an '04 with 120000 miles and no major issues. There'll be others that have a long list of problems. I have all original suspension...even though I know it needs replacement, it still rides on rails. If it were me I'd focus on checking that oil changes were done ( I don't remember the prepaid maintance mileage, but MINI would have that on record.) and any known problems ( check posts) were fixed.

 

I'm w/ Leprechaun - I have an 03 w// 189,000+ miles and have had very few repairs. Still running original supercharger and clutch. I would be very comfortable buying something in the 40,000 mile range. Check for general maint - oil changes, brakes etc.
