Hey everyone, my first posting. Just bought my Mini Cooper S convertible but before I drove it off the dealer lot they replaced an airbag sensor, put on 4 new run flats, and replaced the body control module (all at no cost to me), all after we agreed on a nice price. It has 61,000 miles and I have the previous owner's maint. records...she took good care of it! Any worries I should have? I love it so far!!!! I'm parking it in our garage for the rest of the winter in about 2 weeks. Thanks!

Welcome to NAM ! And glad you have some teeth !

One thing you want to check is the roof. There is a known problem with wear marks (look for discoloration) where the hinges are located. I have an 05 MCSC and our roof was replaced at about 30,000 miles. Of course, the wear rate is more dependent on the number of times you've lowered and raised the roof than the mileage.

Thanks for the tip! There are not shiny spots. The car came from Albany, NY area and we live in Vermont (yes I have all my teeth ). Took it to the car wash today, not leaking yet. I'll keep an eye out.

Few things to look or on the records.
When did they do brakes?
When was the S-belt changed? May have been done at the 2nd Major Service.
What's your build date? It's good to know when ordering parts.
