Well to make a long story short...I have an '06 Mini that I've been trying to sell, but not much luck, so I decided to trade it in and take the hit, well wouldn't you know it that a guy calls this Morning interested in the car, He's about an hour away, but sends someone to look at it for him and he wants it, so he's coming Monday morning with a check to pick it up. Works out for the best anyway, because I want to put the Ventureshield Clear bra on it and the guy couldn't do it until Monday anyway. 
So here's hoping for a short weekend

Oh don't get me so excited! Hahah. 2 days?! I'm up in Mass so I'm expecting it to take a few days.
What's really funny about the whole thing is that I'm an art teacher so of course when I got my "Guide to Better Motoring" I had to show my kids so they could take a look at the design of the whole thing (cause it's artistically fantastic).
So, a whole bunch of them know that I'm waiting for my MINI and keep asking when it's coming and if they can have rides in it, lol. "Ms.B! C'mon! It'll be wicked fun!"
As far as what I've got....
Lighting blue, black bonnet stripes, chrome line exterior, fog lights, black top, winter package (so the heated seats, jets, and mirrors with the fold in) and premium package (sun roof, auto ac, multifunction wheel) etc. You know.
I'm thinkin about getting custom plates but I'm not sure just yet.
SO... ok. I have to be patient.

So much of what Mini does is asthetically pleasing. They are like Apple in that they get the form AND the function.
The closer it gets, the more anxious I am....hope I can sleep this week.

If the car doesn't get here soon, I'm going to be really broke! My dealer says he needs the car for two days before I can have it, and I'm expecting it to take a few days to get to him. I am hoping for Saturday, but trying not to expect Saturday....ok, who am I kidding.
I'm definitely getting some custom plates. I am wondering if I can get away with the cool european front plate without getting a ticket
You know, the more I think about it....dealer seems like just the write word. I think I'm a Mini addict!

Yep. You can't beat good design... *drool* Heheh.
I've been trying not to get too many new extras cause I've gotta watch the whole cash outflow with the economy the way it is. I got a plate holder to start that says SISU (what I named my baby) right on it along with a couple Finnish flags. As I said, debating the plates, I may do it later cuase you have to pay for 'em in Mass (not sure where you're from). Ohhh, European plates would be awesome. Although I'm sure I'd end up getting a ticket...
I haven't talked to my MA yet... I'm sorta waiting for him to call cause I've been checking a bunch online. I'm sure he'll callk within the week tho, he came with TONS of recommendations.

WOOOOHOOOOO, Pickup up my Mini today, then drove it over to have the Ventureshield clear bra installed, any impatiently waited 4 hours, Left there around 7:00 this evening, just in time to get caught in snow on the drive home 
. Not the way I imagined my first drive in my new Mini. Oh well better days ahead.

Just got an email with pictures from my MA. My Mini is at the dealer. They have a few things to install so I plan on going Saturday to pickup.

Just got the call from my MA...
Goin to pick up my baby on Friday! AHHH! *giggle*
I feel like I gotta give my current car a good little run before I trade her in... She's been great for the past 5 years.

First Pics of me picking up car...I know no one want to see me, but these are all I have so far, and now it's dirty from driving it home in the snow, so it may be the weekend before I get some new ones.
