Already went by my dealer this afternoon (It's only about 5 minutes from where I work) and told my MA to start expecting my daily (if not hourly) calls. We're hoping for next Monday, but I'll just have to wait and see. I'll make sure to bring my camera, so we can get pictures of Proud Daddy with his new baby

For those on the Western Hwy, it is now in Baltimore.

Western Highway in Baltimore?

Interesting. My MA here in CT told me that ALL east coast MINI's were delivered to NY!

My Clubman arrived in NY (NJ really) on Thursday. It's still in the Distribution Center, and apparently there will be no further news until it's on the truck. Apparently the two NY bound ships carry 3000 and 5000 cars, and it can take longer to get through distribution if you come off the boat last.

All NC/SC/TN and a few other states come through SC.

Grats to the rest of you who got on the boat!

Nevermind. I'm an idiot, lol.

I'm pretty sure I found mine was loaded on the 6th. The owner's lounge tracking says, "Awaiting Transport" but when I put my VIN into the WW website it said that it got there the 3rd and was loaded the 6th. So... I guess it's almost here!

It's Here! (Almost)

My MA called me today to answer some questions I had about the winter tire packages I had seen described somewhere. At the end of the conversation, almost as an afterthought, he said 'by the way, your car's here.' (!)

I asked how it looked, and he said it's really at the local BMW dealership. They have prep to do, (and sport stripes to put on), but I have an appointment to pick it up on Saturday afternoon! I can't wait!

So are you on the Maersk Wind? Looks like the boat is scheduled to arrive on Sunday! I hope I get my car as as fast as BRGClub.

Congrats rjb & BRGClub. the Western Hwy docked at 1:50 this morning and they started off loading at 7:00am. should be at the VPC by Monday and Home by the 22nd. The dealer has some work to do so they will need a full day.

Just an FYI...I was looking into the the Ventureshield clear bra that the dealer up here charges $995 to install (My '06 Mini has taken a beating on the lower part of the hood, just above the bumper, it looks sandblasted when you get real close up). and found it for $550 from the same company that installs it at the dealership, so I'm going that route, will be done on Monday...

MINI of Sterling (VA). Can't wait....I'm waiting for my Credit union to get back to me with financing, I'm at least going to go by and see it...but may wait until Monday to pick it up (although I doubt I can wait that long)

My dealer quoted $595 to install the Ventureshield, so your $995 sounds high. It may depend on what pieces you have installed. . . Going direct to the installer sounds like the way to go. I've decided to pass on it; I don't like the line at the edge of the installations I've seen. (And I'd rather keep the $$)

Yea, The lines a little annoying but the one I looked at in the Dealer was almost invisible....They installer said that they use a hull hood sheet and cut it rather then the "factory Template" that in his opinion doesn't cover enough of the hood, so maybe it's in a more inconspicuous area. The $550 was for the "full coverage" which includes bumper, headlights, hood, mirrors and front side of rear wheel wells...

I wouldn't have gotten it either but I do a lot of highway driving during rush hour and like I said my '06 looks like it's been sandblasted on the front.

Car at Dealer

We'll went by the dealer today and sure enough my car's in, but I was unable to pick it up because of logistical problems, so I'm picking it up Monday at lunch...This will probably be the longest weekend of my life. Never thought I'd look forward to Monday until now
