Just had my first fill-up!

344 miles thus far, and... 13.305 gallons to fill!!! <--- Aren't we supposed to have a 13.2 gallon tank? The trip computer still said I had 30 miles to go!?!?

Anyone else have a similar phenomenon occur?

BTW - Absolutely loving my car! No name yet, but I can't wait for the first official "road trip"!!! I'm thinking about heading up PCH (I'm in OC), or maybe just doing a little camping trip that takes me up the 2 through Angela's Crest...

WOO HOO! I finally picked mine up last night!!! Kids are naming her Rocket for now I only have 40 miles on her so far, but so far, so good! I love it, and all my choices! I do have a couple of disappoinments, but no real biggies:

1) Ipod integration. My Ipod has 100's of artists. I usually like to go to an artist, then album, and listen away. Unfortunately the Ipod starts over at "A" every time. I read through all the threads, and doesn't seem to be a viable workaround for that. Kind of a bummer.

2) Ipod location. For some reason, I thought the Ipod connection would be in the secret compartment. I guess I didn't research enough. I would like to leave my Ipod in the car 24x7, but now I can't :(

3) Bluetooth voice commands. Can't seem to say the right commands yet. I have dialed everyone but the people who I am trying to call. I think I'll be able to work out the kinks soon on that one hopefully.

Pics to come soon.

Congrats on the new MINI!!!!!!!. As i understand i did take a week to get from VDC to the dealer (Ralph Schomp i assume). My MA also promised me a week from VDC to dealer and i had a hard time beleiving him first, but now i know . My MINI was discharged from the ship yesterday, so i guess i will be motoring by mid next week . Can't wait

Marasmini, here was the timeline fyi...

It arrived at the VDC on Monday, 9/29. Actually got on a truck on Thursday, 10/2, and arrived at Ralph Schomp over the weekend of 10/4 (but they don't accept cars over the w/e). So I knew it was there on Monday 10/6. I had to lean on my MA (Lance) pretty hard to have them get it ready. I guess that they had lots of cars come in, but I kind of pushed my way to the front My MA would have preferred another day to get it ready though.

Hope that helps with yours, and the wait is so worth it!

Thanks for great advice. I will try to get them to prep my baby as soon as possible. I did decide to go with one dealer installed option though: the full front clear bra, so that might delay it a day or so.. I will post pictures as soon as i get my baby and get my hands unstuck from the steering wheel . Please do the same whe you get a moment!!! And once again BIG CONGRATS!!!!!

i decided to take off the stupid RC-car-looking antenna yesterday. all the local stations including AM news radio sounds fine still. went to Ace hardware and bought a plug for $0.75 to plug up the hole. i might buy a stubby antenna later on, but for now this works just fine. sorry for crap cell phone pics in the dark.
