Just a dreamer...

I've been lurking for a while, but I've always wanted a MCS. I'll just sit back, read, learn, and enjoy your rides and live vicariously through everyone here until I can get my own whenever I get the nod from the wife.

Look forward to reading you guys,

Brian

I've wanted a MINI for four years now and came close to buying one three years ago, but the time wasn't right. Your time will come. And then you'll be way ahead of me because I didn't know about NAM when I ordered a little over a month ago.

PS have your wife log on to the Configurator and configure her "dream" MINI, then take her to the dealer for a test drive. Your time might come even sooner

Hang in there, man!

I, too, was a long time lurker on NAM until the breakthru came a few months ago.....got a nod from the wifey....then came the desperate few months of selling the previous car on Craigslist.

Now, I am just checking the owners lounge and 1866ASK MINI like a mad man for my 2009 MCS CR/W since I ordered last week of July. I will probably get it early October!

We will cheer you on and hope for your break thru come sooner rather than later...

P.S. Buy the Italian Job DVD and constantly watching it with your wife and whine everytime you see the MINI will definitely helps....well, works for me anyway...

Happy hunting for your MINI when the time comes. In the meantime, enjoy scrolling through NAM which has all things MINI.

Has your wife ridden in a MINI? or driven one? If not, get to your nearest dealer for a test drive. If her fun side doesn't respond (unlikely) appeal to her practical side with the MPG.

I've had the Italian Job DVD since it came out

I may take her down to a dealer sometime. But right now with the second kid in the oven, my money will be taken up with "other things"....

I've wanted a MINI for years. I used to browse this site but then lost touch as I knew it'd never happen. But a man has hope and I plan on just reading, especially everyone's reviews on what to and not to get as well as issues.

But believe me, I want one B.A.D.! I just get told they're small, unsafe, ugly, a girls car, not a family car, you name it, I've heard it and STILL want one.

Buy a used '05 or '06 MCS--and mod it to be your own.

Outfit it properly and it can be a fine family MINI "van".

Change out the wheels for a track day--I wait for the 50% sales at Edge Racing--when they are $80/wheel.

Add an LCD monitor for the kids

Or just enjoy it for what it is....
