I ordered a JCW Mini last Friday (August 27th) and was given the Vehicle Inquiry report with no prod no., while reading the "How to track your Mini: revised, expanded and updated" https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=144057, it stated that you should get a production number in about 24 business hours. I called my MA today and was told that it would probably be the end of September before I got this number! Has anyone else waited this long for a production number? I know it can take a while to get the car, but not even having the ability to track my new car for a month is going to drive me nuts

 

It depends on your dealers allocation. We were told that we would get a production in 30 days - and we did! The 30 days waiting for the production number was easy compared to the seven days waiting for the VDC to ship the car to the dealer.

 

Uggggg, I'll probably get it delivered just in time for the first snow. Guess all I can do now is wait . I bought my '06 in Feb 2007, when the dealer had them on the lot (I guess they had stocked up before the new model)...walked in, picked one out and wrote a check, didn't get exactly what I wanted, but sure beat waiting.
