Roof graphic after FIVE years

I am still patiently waiting for my MINI, almost 2 months now, (which is a completely different thread ) but I am hoping to get it SOON!!! So to pass time I have been keeping busy reading and learning so much from all of you experienced owners.

In my waiting I have decided I definitely want a full roof graphic put on my MINI (with sunroof) Most posts say the roof graphics if taken care of can last up to 5 years. So my question is....what happens to it at that point....does it start peeling, cracking, fading? Will it have to be removed and a new one installed? Just curious.
Thanks.

I think it self-destructs. Like the mission tapes in the old Mission Impossible.

Cooperflags.com is where I bought my graphic from. It is a good site for information, quality, variety, customization available, and products/information on how to take care of your graphic once it is applied.

I just had the sunroof graphic (us-uj) applied to my sunroof only. (US flag that melts into Union Jack flag). I'm very pleased with this graphic. I chose the sunroof only mainly because I was getting a clubman and wanted to be able to see the silver on the roof.

good luck and happy motoring!!

PS patience is overrated when waiting on your mini. Once you see him/her, all the waiting is forgotten and it seems all worth it!

Would love to hear from actual experience on this. It would be nice if they lasted longer, but then again a full bumper to bumper stripe kit at Aesthetic Creations is about $230, so paying that much every 5 years doesn't seem so bad.

minipsych, thanks for referring to Cooperflags, will check out now...

I guess I'll let you know in 4 more years. After about a year, it still looks brand new.
