G,day from Aus
This is my first thread.........ever. I'm 50 years old, years. live in Perth Western Australia and our fuel had doubled in price in the last 2 years. 2 weeks ago I bought my 2003 Red Cooper with a white roof and still rum the same tank of fuel? I own a Dodgre Ram 5.9lt, BMW X5 4.4 lt, Jeep Wrangler which clocks 10 MPG and my baby a 67 Mustang Fastback injected 5.0lt. Its just fabulouse to drive around and not worry about how much this trip is costing. I only wish I'd bought a Cooper years ago and oh yes........what fun to drive.
Welcome to NAM.
Good buy, now you will be able to keep your other cars in pristine condition while they sit and get used for special occasions.
Nice collection.
Pictures of your MINI? Any mods planned?

Miniconcarne.........you Italian? A trunk is what an elephant has instead of a nose. Your trunk is what Texan's wear on their feet. Furthermore a Hood covers your head, the Bonnet keeps the engine covered.
There are heaps (Assie term of many) of Mini's here, one could'nt possibly drive around saying "Mini" every time you spot one. I'll try post pics.
Hey guys I have 3 return messages old 81, Miniconcarne and Ancient Mariner. I'm using the "Quick Reply" so don't know who will recieve this post.

Atta boy, mini c! Let's drag Australia into the Motion to cease and desist the 'faux Brit speak' thread ( https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=151128 ). This could be fun.
Wot the????????
I was being a smart **** and was uncalled for. Sorry.
Use the "My Gallery" section to up-load and paste, or use a Photo managing
website (photobucket is one) many others.
I see you drove across Texas, by way of El Paso, I-10 by chance?

El Paso
Yep 1-10 and El Paso, the dust bowl of the world.
Yes, I'm older than a most who drive the new MINI. Probably should have kept a Mini (Classic) or two when I was becoming an adult.
Miniconcarne gave you a good short description on image uploading. I use Google's Picasa and fotki as hosting websites for a lot of my pictures.
Using the reply function, click the little square insert image icon where you see the formatting controls for your message. You can insert the image inline, when you capture the image url with a right click on the image.
Hope that helps, if not play around, I think someone posts a tutorial thread somewhere here on NAM.
Btw, 'heaps' has a different meaning in the States, juke-heap, piece of crap, junky car or bunch of junky cars.

Yep, pretty dusty, one of many reasons I moved to Colorado.
Aren't parts of Australia very dusty also? Must be only in the movies?

Dusty
Yeap, up North its real dusty. red dust in the Northern Territory, red being rust from iron, its iron ore country, we're selling the iron to China asthey are hungry for it and I think they're feeding it to their athletes too. We have Bull Dust up north, ultra fine powder which finds its way into every concievable orifice in your car. Australia is as big as USA, only 22 million people and 21.5 million live on the coast, theres nothing in the Outback, only dust.
minikikas,
here's some pointers for posting pictures:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...aq_member_item
Also, at the bottom of the "MINI's IN GENERAL" section (where you found "FIRST GEAR", is a thread called
'Test Forum'. Exactly what it says. Practice your picture posting, sig building, BBCoding stuff here.
