Chris, that is uber-great news! Please allow us to live vicariously through your Mini and post those pics as soon as you can.

Good luck with delivery!

You didn't happen to get the anthracite headliner did you? I didn't see it in your signature but there appears to be many of the 09's showing up without this option even though it was ordered... I'm sure your "baby" will be perfect!

anthracite headliner is standard on a JCW, so is piano black. Check back tomorrrow for photos!!

That's good. So far, it looks like anyone who has reported the problem has been with a clubbie anyway. Hopefully it is an isolated problem and few will be affected.

Congratulations, Gizmom! My dealer confirmed that my MINI arrived in Charleston on the Southern Highway yesterday, but just for kicks, I checked its status anyway. OL says it's en route on the ship, and ASKMINI says it's still on the other side of the pond waiting for a shipping vessel!! Amazing how the OL and ASKMINI can vary wildly with reality for some of us...

Well my MA emailed me today and told me our car is enroute, should arrive Monday at the dealer, they need to go over it, and get the Invisishield installed, etc.

The GM called me the other day and said they'd waive the Dealer Doc fees (only $95, a lot less than most joints try to charge) and charges for most of the dealer installed options were nothing or really cheap.

I want to take the Invisishield all the way up the hood, still waiting on a quote for the additional cost.

I'm hoping to pick the car up on Friday, or the following Monday.

Thanks to all for the heads up on the 3+ hour delivery time, my dealer is far away (85 miles) and I'd like to head back before major rush hour on the DC Capital Beltway.

Analogeezer

p.s. The OL pretty much blows chunks, I have not been able to access it for two weeks, the dealer and MINI acknowledge there is a problem, as I told them if I had an externally focused web service down that long they would have my head on a stake, just unforgivable really to not get it fixed within a few days

I just checked the OL, and saw something weird, that I don't remember seeing before.

The options were not listed, but I noticed that before. The weird thing I saw was, under model description it stated that I had a "4 door sedan Cooper S"

4 door? WTF? Two doors and a hatch, I could see those being called doors, so maybe 3. But including the Bonnet? Again, WTF?

Yep, mine has the options missing to now. The 4 door thing has been there for a little while for me, maybe it's a new addition to the 2009's

Worth the Wait!

I picked up Otis at noon today after my daughter's soccer game. It's everything I hoped for and more! The drive home was a blast, I keep trying to come up with more errands so that I can go for a drive again. I have so much more garage space now too!

YOU COULD WAIT THROUGH A SOCCER GAME?!

I'm going to have to wait through TWO parent/teacher conferences! I'm wondering whether I'll remember anything that's said!

One of the refs let the clock run a little long in the 3rd quarter and I was ready to jump out of my skin. Sounds like you have it rougher than me, not sure I could pay any attention during a teacher conference if I had a new Mini waiting. Good Luck!!

We want some pictures when you get a chance.

Wizeguy- I saw on the CH post that your mini arrived at the dealer. You posted that the Aero kit won't be in for a week. Are you taking delivery now and bringing it back in next week or do you have to wait for delivery until they install it? Either way you are going to make the rally after all!

As I mentioned above, I saw a beautiful JCW laser blue mini on the showroom yesterday. I thought of you. It was stunning. There was also a limited edition JCW turbo cabrio sidewalk edition sitting next to it and it wasn't sold! I almost cancelled my order and drove away with it! Each dealer got only one and the customer backed out of this one-unbelievable!
Sorry for the delay in responding. The kit has the following items, all bottles are 16 oz-

Exterior Renewer - this bottle should last 3 years, and I have a coupon for free refills each time I run out. I just mail it in and they send the bottle to me.
Sudless Fabric Cleaner
Leather Cleaner which can also be used on vinyl
Carwash Concentrate
Water Based Tire Dressing
Microfiber Towel - 1
Wash Mit - 1
Applicator Pad - 2

It all came in a nice case that fits in the back of Mini Moo.

That is a sharp looking color combination!

I just picked Fred up from my MA yesterday. What a blast!! He may be a MINImalist justacooper, but motoring around is so much fun that it's gonna be weeks before this stupid grin fades from my face I took a few pictures this morning and as soon as I figure out how to post them here I will. For everyone who's still waiting, hang in there - it will be worth it!

Stunning Chris! What a nice build. I love the fiber carbon scuttles and those wheels! That is one beautiful JCW.

Thanks for the pics and enjoy!

So, do you think you can get your break in done before the rally?!

I hope so!! I've had it for 30 hours now and have 250 miles on it. At this pace I should have break-in done sometime by next week

My clubman is at the dealership!
I finish up my paperwork on Monday and then it will be shipped to me (I live in Seattle and bought it from a NY dealer as my local dealer didn't have any production slots for 8-9 months).

Hopefully I'll be driving my mini this time next week or shortly thereafter!

Wait until you go by and get some fuel or stop to pick up a bottle of water, and you come outside, like I did, and see your mini encircled by curious lookers. At first I thought, oh no someone hit MINI MOO. But, I recovered quickly when I heard the crowd oohing at MNI MOO. It is fun. All of a sudden you become the MINI authority showing all the special features to those who stay to see. Trust me they all stay to see them.

The break-in period

I offered to drive 30 miles to pickup lunch today for everyone at work. Any excuse to put on miles so I can get through the break-in period. Driving under 4,500 rpm is killing me. I'm hoping I can get it done within the month.

My MA called this morning to let me know that my MINI arrived safe and sound at the dealership.

It will be ready to come home on Thursday.

Mine will be ready on Thursday too! Unfortunately my schedule won't allow me to pick it up until Saturday. Oh well, it will be a great start to a 9 day vacation!

Great news for you guys. At last week 37 is getting some satisfaction.

While I have not heard about my delivery, some of us from the Southern Hwy that arrived in Charleston, SC last week are starting to get pickup dates.

Good luck everyone .
