I just talked to ASK MINI and was informed that my MINI is a Week 40 build also.

Now the long wait begins!

Hi All!

I just joined the forums, and wanted to say hello to everyone who is scheduled for week 40.
I ordered my Clubman S last week, and just now got the production number, and was told I would also have the LONG wait for week 40 production.

Well, I don't have a confirmation from ASK MINI, but my MA told me I'd be a week 40, so here I am! I guess we're all crossing our fingers that we'll be bumped up though...that seems to be a trend.

Well here I am, I was told yesterday by my dealer that my scheduled production week for my JCW was week 40, I was given a production number but not showing up yet in the OL. Been waiting since August 22, just to get this far.

Yea I hope so, fortunately I have a 2006 "justacooper" to drive in the mean time to make it a little more bearable, but when I sell it, then it will be tough

Nice upgrade! "justacooper" to a JCW. I'm starting out with an MCS, but I don't know if I'll need to upgrade. Ever since test driving an 07 MCS, I've been wondering if it was more power than I needed. But then I told myself, "Holy moly, that was fun!!!"

Hello fellow "week 40-ers"
I ordered my MCCS on 8/8/08; it took two weeks just to get the production number and I have called ASK MINI but they don't have a production date yet! These must be VERY popular. Waiting is nerve r wracking!
Anybody else having the same issue - ordered in RI;

Yea, I thought about an "S" when I bought mine, but I drive 100 miles/day and the hit on gas was to much with the supercharged engine. The nice thing about the new "S" and "JCW" with the turbo is they are rated at the same mileage as my '06. Now I just need to keep my foot out of it. I live about 2 miles from a 2 mile road course, did a couple of events there and decided I currently had more grip then go, an instructor I was talking to mentioned the new JCW, I went and test drove one and a week later I ordered one

Yikes! That is nerve wracking! I was fortunate enough to walk out of the dealership with a production number, so I've had that for a few days, but no official status on production. My MA just told me it should be week 40. The OL just updated to show all my options this morning, so hopefully soon ASK MINI will give me an official production week.

The wait is going to be so long though. That's why we have this to keep us busy. What did you order?

EDIT: Err, sorry. I didn't see your sig. Nice build. The wife and I are thinking about a Clubman after kids enter the picture.

I thought about that this morning as I saw the busy Week 37 thread...and even the Week 32 one. Knowing that 5 weeks ago, their cars rolled through the line and the forum is still really active. I hope most of them have theirs MINI's now.

No other Week 40's out there yet, huh? I guess with fewer Week 40 builds, they can take their time and get every kink worked so we all have problem-free MINIS

Yeah, I think that is wishful thinking since we're in the middle of week 38 right now....but maybe week 39! I still don't have any word from the OL, but it's only been a week (a looooong week).

You should be seeing something in the OL any day now I would think.

Actually the last time I called 1-866-ASK-MINI, the rep not only told me I was in the week 40 batch, but said I was scheduled for 09/28. Is that an indicator that I'm moving closer and closer to a week 39 build?

If you just call and listen to the automated thing, does it give you a production date? That's all I've been doing, and I keep getting that no date is confirmed. Maybe I just need to talk to a person.

Yes, the automated system still tells me I don't have a confirmed production date. OL still just tells me my car is on order.

Count me in, I'm a week 40er! Wahooo! And I know that a couple of you are anxious that you've been waiting since late August, but if it makes you feel better, I put my deposit down Jun 29th so you're way ahead of me. It's just fine, the wait has been part of the experience and journey and now it will be fun to track the car. The hardest part is over for me since I deliberated so much on which model and which features. Now I can sit back and watch the process continue. How many 40ers do we have? Roll call.
