Alas, a brother for the venture across the pond. I'm de-planing in Baltimore though. I think we'll beat Ike in... I hope.

 

Mine is sitting on my dealer's lot as of Friday. My MA says I can't get it until Thursday which I think is pure BS. We'll see.

 

My "S" is finally off the Southern Highway and at the VPC as of 11:37am!
Hopefully will be in KC and in my hands by next Monday.

 

Great news! Did your MA tell you that it was off? Mine was on the Southern Highway as well. Time to email my MA!

It really was pretty funny, since that first little bit was all that showed up as a preview in my email and i was so shocked i almost believed it for a second!

 

I get mine on Monday!!! Sitting on the dealer's lot right now. Stripe installer is not scheduled until Monday, so I have to wait. Four more days no problem- right?

 

Picking mine up on 9/22. I keep asking my MA for them to stay open a few hours later on Saturday, but no luck.

Oh, well, I get a three day weekend out of the deal!

 

Sigh. Mine is going to sit for almost TWO WEEKS at the dealer after arrival until I can get to it. I have a two-day drive home from the dealer. My wife is leaving for a conference the week it arrives, but we have four dogs so I have to be home by the time she leaves - not enough slack in the schedule arrival week. The day she gets back, I'm leaving for an event over a long weekend, so I won't be able to pick it up until my way home from THAT. Argh!

 

Damn Barley, sorry to hear that! I think I would fork out some cash for a pet sitter...

thanks for the update! I hope mine makes it through the VDC and on to Vegas quickly. I'd love to pick it up next weekend! Bummer you have to wait so long Barley, but it will be worth it I'm sure. Just a guess, but from your user name and location, I assume you are a big beer fan?

 

I am indeed, and Scotch too (and wine as well, what can I say - I live in a fermented paradise). Barley is our oldest dog's name and she herself was named for the exalted ingredient. I tried to register with one of our other dogs' name, Haggis, but it was already taken.

You should be motoring by the end of the month for sure. Woohoo!
