Only 206?
I'm surprised that there is "only" 206 MINIs on the Patriot. But it has sailed, correct? It's not still loading up, right?
I'm "Waiting for Transport" but there's nobody home at ASK-MINI to ... ask...about what boat I'm on.
My MA's supposed to know this, right? I saw one or two MINIs on the booking order for Patriot that were almost the same, so there should be some Clubmans on the boat!

Yes you can ID that a vehicle is mini by the VIN. Unfortunately I'm not exactly sure what the key is - I would assume that the 11th character will yield this info since only Minis are made in Oxford.... so by that logic anything with a "t" as the 11th character should be a mini.
Its possible that the first 4 will give this up as well but since a Mini is technically a BMW....who knows.
more info below about VINs - there is a ton of info out there if you search good 'ol google.
1st character- Identifies the country in which the vehicle was manufactured.
For example: U.S.A.(1or4), Canada(2), Mexico(3), Japan(J), Korea(K), England(S), Germany(W), Italy(Z)
2nd character- Identifies the manufacturer. For example; Audi(A),
BMW(B), Buick(4), Cadillac(6), Chevrolet(1), Chrysler(C), Dodge(B),
Ford(F), GM Canada(7), General Motors(G), Honda(H), Jaquar(A), Lincoln(L), Mercedes Benz(D), Mercury(M), Nissan(N), Oldsmobile(3), Pontiac(2or5), Plymouth(P), Saturn(8), Toyota(T), VW(V), Volvo(V).
3rd character- Identifies vehicle type or manufacturing division.
4th to 8th characters- Identifies vehicle features such as body style, engine type, model, series, etc.
9th character- Identifies VIN accuracy as check digit.
10th character- Identifies the model year. For example: 1988(J), 1989(K), 1990(L), 1991(M), 1992(N), 1993(P), 1994(R), 1995(S), 1996(T),
1997(V), 1998(W), 1999(X), 2000(Y)------2001(1), 2002(2), 2003(3)
11th character- Identifies the assembly plant for the vehicle.
12th to 17th characters- Identifies the sequence of the vehicle for production
as it rolled of the manufacturers assembly line.

toot the horn!
Just saw my posting for my PW clubman for the Patriot, was hoping to dock/unload at NY but see its in Charleston, SC. on the 26th. I got a call from MA and stated they will ensure there is little delay at VPC. Having the lamps and stripes installed there. They stated Charleston was better location to have MINI accessories placed.

It looks like I'm also on the Patriot! I originally thought I was on Fidelio (vin showed up booked) which would have been way too quick (finished production 7/7 and would have sailed 7/8). I rechecked and now see that I'm on the Patriot
Has anyone's OL changed to "en route" yet? Mine still says awaiting transport despite the WW page stating that I was loaded.
Just curious to see what the lag really is on the OL page.

How long does "loaded on vessel" take?
Hi,
I'm scheduled to have left on OTELLO today. Looking at the booking order I'm on, I see 260 or so cars. Many are labeled "loaded on vessel". But a good percentage, say 20%-30% are still in "received at terminal" state. My vehicle has been this way since 7 AM this morning.
Am I waitlisted, or is this not updated before departure? And how many hours after departure do they all say "loaded on vessel"? I saw Patriot's and all cars on the booking order were loaded on vessel when I looked.
Otello is now underway, so I hope I made it!
For those of you that are waitlisted, do you see that status somewhere, or are you supposing you are because the "received at terminal" hasn't changed?
Thanks!

mine hasn't updated in days too, just call ask mini I just found out I'm on transit
Now on FEDORA
Hi All,
So now I guess we found out. All those that were "received at terminal" but not "loaded on vessel" for OTELLO have been put on other ships. All vehicles on the original booking reference number are now "loaded on vessel".
My new ride is FEDORA, shipping number GBSOU659387 and it will depart Southampton on July 21st and arrive in New York on July 31st. So far, this booking has 74 vehicles.
Then with the required 3-5 days at the VDC, I may be able to take Astrid home by August 4th or so.
Seeing as how my Clubman has only taken a month or so to get to this point, and seeing as how I'm being told now that late November is when people will take delivery if ordered today, I guess I've lucked out.
See you out there!
Cheers

Ambidexter - Agreed 100% - I am happy that I ordered when I did! While the wait has felt longer than expected its much better than if I ordered today! I am sure that I'll be able to take my yet-to-be named mini home before I know it!
