That could have been enough to trigger the sensor, but there are some threads though about temperature drops overnight causing the tire pressure monitor to alert you to low tires when they aren't really. And since last night was our first cool night, it made me wonder if I'm in for daily warnings.

Anyway, I'm at 35psi now, reset the monitor and will see what happens!
Aah, gotcha! Now I understand. I have not checked the pressure, since it was originally setup. I don't think our temp changes here in Houston will trigger anything yet.

If you didn't check since taking delivery, I'd recommend it. One of my tires was very low and the other three were just low. If the dealership or VDC reset the monitor, it will recognize those pressures as the correct ones.

When I was talking about one tire being very low in the post above, I meant when I took delivery. And this was after my specifically asking if they had checked the tires.

Nice car! Don't often see MY with a white roof. I like it. So how is motoring? Any interesting events or stories for the group? Have you made it through the break-in yet? Does your ride have a name?

Got almost 800 miles on it now. No good stories, mostly home to work and back so far. But I enjoy that commute a lot more now...

Name; not really, "Matilda" seems to fit somehow, but I don't know why.

Yes they do exist. Got mine today, too! Fun to open and go through - some fun and funny stuff. Good marketing for MINI, and a few things that will be useful. And don't forget the "secret envelope."

Phantom update

Finished my tank of gas driving in town using the auto tranny in manual mode exclusively. Here are the results:

Phantom has 1695 miles on the odometer now.

440 miles driven; avg mph was 26.7 (per computer)
pumped 13.267 gals of Shell 93 (computer said I still had about 50 miles of gas left in the tank)
34.7 mpg (computer); 33.165 mpg (hand calculated)

Next up is to drive a tank completely in auto mode (but I do plan to go to Columbus this weekend, so that will put about 150 highway miles on the odometer).

All I got today was catalogs, bills and a box with a free Mach III razor.

BUT yesterday I got my decal from Roadtrip! I It's great and I'll be ordering a badge and holder (or telling my husband that he can get me one for my birthday or Christmas.

I keep forgetting to contact Ed at Cooper Flags to order the decals. I have decided that at least for now, I'm not doing badges.

My adventure kit came yesterday . Lots of fun. Although I'm not sure I'm a hanging dice kind of guy.
The pen is nice - ink however was dried out. Log book went straight into the glovebox. That will be handy.

Keep on motoring - I get my JCW side scuttle insert today so "coop" won't feel so incomplete.

Hanging dice? I wonder if all the kits are the same? I got a the little ball for the end of the antenna, but mine is an 8-ball, not a smiley face. Also, I got a sheet of stickers (rolled up in the box) that can be used to make phrases on the car windows, I presume??? I agree that the book and pen (and possibly mousepad) are the nicest things in the packet.

Mine was a dice, but not hanging dice just a single dice cube, I think they maybe slightly different.... more suspense!!

I just noticed the side of the Adventure Kit box has three types of MINIs on it with a check mark next to the MINI hardtop. Maybe there is at least three base versions with variations in each.

Got my adventure kit today! Antenna ball (8 ball), journal, pen, clubman sticker, roll of window poetry stickers, mousepad, cards and holder.... what is a secret envelope???
Joining phantom.... got my first ding last week. Just saw it when washing today. I ran over a piece of wire on the highway a few days ago and had checked my paint, but I didn't realize though that it had pierced my black front trim piece and left about a 3" gouge. Not too noticeable and thank heavens it wasn't on the paint!

Bernard is washed, vac'd, Nero'd and Hydro'd; the ipod is full and we're leaving in the AM for a roadtrip! My husband and I are headed to VA to visit our youngest son for Parent's Weekend. It's a 900 mile drive and we usually drive about 12 hours one day and 3 the next. This year we're planning on taking our time and seeing a few sights, taking some backroads, and looking for some good food off the interstates.

Bringing the laptop so we may send photos from along the way!

Well, I did mention the secret envelope in my post, but that's all I'm saying.
