Any guesses on whether "Work Start Time" of 7:00 is today 7:00 PM or tomorrow 7:00 AM?

 

I'll bet it's tomorrow. To schedule a large crew of RORO's must be done in advance. But the port knew it was coming in early yesterday so...

My wife and I each have a MINI on board as well:

Anyone have delivery yet, or even close? After thinking I'd surely have delivery this week (since our boat docked in Charleston on 7/16), I just found out from my MA that my Clubbie just arrived TODAY (7/21) at the VPC.

5 days to get to the VPC???? Is that what happened with all of our MINIs who were on the Sierra Nevada? Mine is scheduled to be released to the carrier on 7/24, after which the carrier has 48 hours to get the car en route to the dealer. I'm being told Monday/Tuesday of next week delivery, which given that schedule, sounds a little conservative to me.

Just wanted to see what everyone else's situation was...

 

Mine is scheduled to arrive at the dealer tomorrow july 22. I dont know how fast the dealer can get it ready but i will update as I know more.

Mine was released to the transporter at 9:21 pm Friday July 18th (how's that for precise?). According to my MA, it should be here in Oklahoma City tomorrow or Wednesday.

Traci is my MA too, she has been great. I heard from her earlier and she stated mine is still not at the VDC. However when I called 1-800-askmini it states that it is on a transport and to contact my MA for an arrival time at the dealership. So I guess I will just wait and see until Tuesday or Wednesday.

 

Holy cow!!! How on earth did yours get off the ship, through the VDC and released to carrier in 2 days??? Happy for ya though!

 

I was rather amazed myself, but that's what my MA tells me. I guess I'll believe it when I am driving my new baby home.

the ol lists 25-july for the car to be at my dealers, but i have not heard anything from my MA about that yet

 

Where are you located Horatio? I called 1-800-askmini today and now is states my car is at the port and awaiting a ship. This is the 3rd time I got this from them. I guess my mini wants to keep cruising the ocean.

I ordered the car from Roadshow Mini in Memphis, TN.

I checked the website and it shows "At Distribution Center" with an estimated delivery date of 25-July. I just called the automated system and it says that the car is still awaiting a shipping vessel, so i think it is a bit out of date.

 

I checked the OL and mine stills show it is En Route. He must be taken the Alaskan cruise.

I got some good news today...my car made it through the VDC in one day (after taking 5 days to get off the boat and into the VDC) and will leave the VDC no later than Thursday. Looks like it *should* make it to the dealer by Friday, and hopefully in my hands by Saturday!!!!

Of course, this all hinges on everything going right, as well as getting the paperwork completed for the sale of our other car (which the dealer is handling for us). Fingers crossed!

Okay I may give up hope. Now I heard my car may not be here until Thursday at the best and possibly not until Monday.

 

UPDATE: Well this week has come and gone along with the dream of my car getting here this week. Will it get here next Monday...we shall see.

 

that sucks man. i hate that the shipping ordeal is souring you on the whole thing.
