New Mini owner in Maine

Hi everyone. I've been reading NAM forums for the past few weeks, while contemplating exactly how to spec my order. The wealth of information has been amazing, and very helpful.

Today, I finally went to Mini of Peabody, and put in my order. Unfortunately, the earliest build spot they had was week 31... so I guess I'll have to wait at least a month just for my car to leave the factory. Can't say I'm not jealous of those of you who seem to have your cars built only days after putting in your orders.

My final order is:

08 MC
AB/B
Tuscan Beige w/English Oak
15" Rotators
Convenience + Winter Pkgs
Auto Air
Nav
Xenon
Rear Fog Lamp
iPhone Cradle

I went with non-turbo and 15" for the ride quality. This will be my daily driver. When I feel the need for speed, I have my Volvo S60R (350 HP with IPD mods).

Once I get the car I plan on getting a nice set of aftermarket black rims, tints, blackout grille, and proper (i.e. not paper) speakers for the Boost standard stereo. I will also hardwire my Valentine One to the ignition, and extend USB/Aux to the secret compartment.

I hope to see a week 31 support group soon, though for now, most of you are likely still getting week 29 and 30 spots, at least for a short while.

I have a feeling this will be a long summer... I am already obsessing!

Welcome to the wonderful affliction! This is a great place to find therapy and support. Checking your production status is fun but falls into the mixed blessing category. I found 866-ASK-MINI to have much more accurate info than the Lounge, but you'll enjoy looking everywhere. I never thought I'd ever visit an ocean shipping line's website, but I visit every day or two now.

If you don't find a Week 31 Support Group, why not start it? It's only a matter of time before you have plenty of company.

Congrats on the order, sounds like a sweet ride, and hope time flies for you.
