what have i done?

well i've gone and done it. it's been almost exactly a year since i first test drove an 07 MCS. yesterday i plunked down 2000 of my hard earned dollars on a mini slated to begin production next week. i should feel better about this, but i'm so pensive. i've never bought a new car before. it goes against my principals, but in the year of waiting and watching i found; it's damn near impossible to find one with the stuff i want in it used, and a used one seems to cost as much or more then an ordered one. i took another test drive after the order was placed to remind myself why i did this. it helps. i told my MA not to tell me the production number and just call me when it gets here so i don't spend my time staring at a date on the calender that may be wrong anyway. i may recant tho. anyway, woo hoo, let the waiting begin.

Tracking your MINI from order to delivery helps the time go by.

Don't let the scariness of what you did sway you. It's the old classic "Approach-Avoidance Syndrome" kicking in. In a nutshell it goes like this ... the further away we are from a big decision, the better the decision looks. But then, the closer we get to it, the more difficult it looks. It's what often happens as a couple get closer and closer to their wedding ... they start having second thoughts. Don't worry about it, you'll work through it and you'll love your car to bits.

But just in case you do want to reconsider ... have you seen this one that's for sale?

I think it makes your brain go bye. Checking status multiple times a day was, in retrospect, one of the most unsatisfying addictive behaviors I have every had!

MINImedic: Believe me, you are gonna love your new MINI. I've owned a lot of new cars before, but this little bugger takes the cake. FUN, FUN, FUN, and you save gas at the same time! You made the right decision!

I 100% agree with Richs10...you will love your MINI! I traded in a 3 week old Jeep that I paid cash for to get a MINI (lost money) but they are just so responsive and fun to drive. Gas mileage is better as well...
