Brought her home today!
Brought her home today!
I'm so excited! We drove over to the coast and picked her out off the lot. She was a demo model, so she had about a thousand miles on her, but when I test drove her I knew she was mine. She's pure silver with a black roof, JustaCooper with heated seats, fog lights, automatic A/C, premium package, sport seats and that's what I remember off the sticker, because that was what was important at the time. I do plan to add black jack side scuttles and a black jack roof graphic to the sunroof in the future, but for now we're just going to stick with what we have. It's working. She came with the all-weather floor mats, which are a must up here in the Northwest, and I love her. I'm very sad to be at my computer, instead of out motoring with her.
It took a while for us to get to know each other, but we had plenty of time. The trip home was five hours long. Over the course of that time we discovered that she really likes Radiohead, she's a little bit fiesty and is rather pale and tragic. Her name came to me on the drive home.
Her name is Viola. (Said like "Violet", but with an "a" at the end, instead of the "et"). She is named after "Viola" from Shakespeare's Twelfth Night.
Viola was born in February of this year and I plan to keep her with us for many years to come. I'll post pictures to this thread tomorrow as it's too dark to take them now. I'm so excited! I can't wait for everyone to see her!

Thanks! I keep looking for excuses to motor! And holy cow, does the perma-grin ever stop?
So far I've only shown her off to a couple of close friends... but this morning I did make a run to the java hut down the street, even though I already had coffee in the house and could have done it myself. I also took my son (who is going to start motoring on his own soon enough) for a ride down the hill and back up again. Then I took her up to the top of the ridge for the pictures I took this morning... and I'm thinking about calling a friend of mine to see if she and her hubby are going to be home because I'd love to take her over there and show her off to them. I know they'd love to check her out...
I absolutely cannot get enough of driving this car!
