Hello Mini-ites

Hello to all. I just bought my first mini today. A really nice pepperwhite 2005 MCS powder-puff. Manual, supercharged freedom! I feel pretty lucky to have gotten it. I've nicknamed her Dorothy (just seemed the right thing to do) My wife even thinks the car rocks. Thanks to high gas prices I made a smart choice in cars. Great web site and forum for information regarding anything mini.

Welcome to MINI land! Like you, my first foray into being a MINI owner was a used one, a 2003 Justa Cooper. I bought it about 6 months ago, and I'm still in love with it. And in 6 months time I'm sure you'll feel the same way.

You mention the High Gas prices and while that played into the decision for our new Mini, what sold it was the Insurance. I replaced a 5 yr old PT Cruiser Hi-Perf Turbo and the Insurance for the new 08 Cooper S went down $75 a year.
