Wife just picked up a used 03 Cooper last weekend, I've been lurking on the board here for a few days but finally joined.

We got the Mini to use as a daily driver so we opted for the basic MC with a manual, so far she is quite pleased with it and is getting great milage.

My main focus on the car will be freeway milage since that is it's primary function but it's also a fun little car to drive so a few performance mods couldn't hurt. So any suggestions would be great.

After lurking for a couple days I already would like to do the following.

16 or 17 inch OEM wheels, we have 15's now.
Lowering springs, moderate drop, maybe 1".
CAI and Exhaust.

All except the wheels should help milage and handeling so it's a double benifit. Only weight reduction I've noticed is the rear seat delete but that's only 36lbs if I recall, seems hardly worth it. Aero kits mainly provide better downforce or just looks which are gonna reduce the CoD so they are out.
