I know I am getting impatient already and it's only been a week as of today but I was wondering if anyone could tell me about how long it is for an ordered MINI to go from "On Order" to "Scheduled for Production." I know I have a lot more steps to go in the process but my MA told me 6-8 weeks from the ordered date and the status hasn't changed! Getting antsy- and excited.

 

Ask your MA, or call 866-ASK-MINI to learn what production week you are. Production weeks seem to run Monday to Sunday, and are the week in which your car will start production. Production takes 6 days to complete, then you have time waiting for a ship, transit time on the ship, time at the VDC, and then eventually delivery to your dealer.

Troll through the various week "Support Groups", week 21 is in production, and week 22 is heating up as they get ready to go.

 

Thank you OWG I'll try the MINI hotline again, I called earlier and tried to speak to someone but it went to a voicemail, I think I called before they opened. Anyway I appreciate your understanding my impatience and taking the time to help me out By the way your exterior color/interior sounds glorious!

 

Just spoke to a rep at 1866ASKMINI and was told I am scheduled for production in Week 23- off to that support group I go!

Re: Week 23 production - it really is the best week. I understand that all the robot welders will just have been re-calibrated, and the assembly line workforce will be extra attentive!
