Hello from Kentucky

Hi all, I'm 99.9999999% sure my next car will be a Mini. I've been looking at all the beautiful cars here and playing with the Mini Configurator until I think I've memorized all the options.

My previous cars have been a 1999 VW Passat with front coilovers, and rear sway bar that handled fairly well. I've also had a 2001 Camaro z28 that ran the 1/4 mile in 11.8 sec.

My biggest problem with the Mini is if I want justacooper and spend the money I save on more options or sacrifice some interior upgrades and get the Cooper S. I'm trying to keep it under 26k I went just a bit over with these 2 but not to bad.

I guess what I'm really looking for would be advice on if I want the Cooper or Cooper S I have spec'd out or if you see anything in there I should add or do without.

Same struggle

I just went through the same struggle before ordering my MCS.

Do I want more options or performance, after some test drives I opted for performance. My two previous cars were a 1st generation SE-R and a VR-6 Jetta. I just like the horsepower I guess. I can live with out the other stuff.

Well with my Camaro I had the horsepower but no comfort and thought it was grand, but with the Passat it has leather, sunroof, heated seats, wood grain interior, but no performance to speak of. And I have to admit it has spoiled my tushie lol.

The Jetta was like your Passat, but I really miss the SE-R. I wanted to get back to the go-kart like car, but the MINI has more refinement at the start. The CW package and sunroof were enough luxury for me.
