Leaky Clubman 08
Leaky Clubman 08
I recently got my first Mini a Clubman 08 and notice during it first was water was leaking into the passenger window at the top of the club door. Water get in even when a cup of water is splash in the area. We took the car in and they try to adjust the door, but with no result. Took back in 2nd time the service manager told this was normal. The water was getting in and making everything wet. I took back in and ask one of manager that was there to take a look at it. I used a hose at the dealer and put water at passenger window, he told me to stop because he clearly could see the water in the back and front seats. They keep it for 4 days and call me back to say they could not fix it. They send the car to their body shop, the next day they call me and told me it was ready. I pick up the car and took it home, test it and a very little water leaked in. Better, but now the club door is hard to open because they push it very hard against the door seal to stop the leak. A couple of day before they also had to fix the club door because it would not open (new latch). I would like to know if anybody else had a problem like this. I will take it to a body shop and ask if the tightness of the latch is okay. The car is only 3 weeks old
. Thank you
. Thank you
I suggest you go over into The Clubman forum - that's where you'll get some responses and help. See you over there! You can copy and paste this post and start a new thread in there: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...play.php?f=168
I would do one of 2 things, both require you take it back however. First explain to them the Rules of the Lemon Law in your area (study it at great lengths), then talk with the Sales and Service Managers and let them know that you are not happy with how your expierence has been. It may or may not do any good, but also call MiniUSA...this issues needs to be reported and quickly, I've read on other threads that this has creeped up on at least one other Clubman. At least you don't have the Oil Leak @ 1800 Miles that someone else is experiencing.
Good Luck...hopefully you'll be able to get this resolved soon.
