I just ordered a new MC yesterday, coming from a gen 2 Honda CR-V. I felt snug and fit when I took a test drive in the new Cooper so it shouldn't be an issue for me. The only car I can't fit in is my pop's old 57' tbird -- Darn that huge steering wheel.

Exactly, whenever you need a truck, just rent one or borrow it from a friend. Never base a car purchase on infrequent needs.
oops... I drive a truck with a shell that's always full of sporting equipment which I do use regularly. I bought the MINI based on my infrequent need to enjoy driving!

Hope everything works out for me....

I sold mine on Ebay to some guy up in Minnesota and I wish I could have kept them both.
My daughter misses the Jeep from time to time but I don't miss having to clean it for weeks after going offroad in the South Carolina red clay.

I just switched from a '99 Ford F-350, crew cab, 8' bed, dually diesel (21' long) to an '03 MCS.

The truck was getting too expensive as a daily driver. I'm keeping it though to haul large stuff around. I also have a slide-in camper and like to take my bass boat out when we go camping.

I drove the original Mini about 30 years ago. One thing that hasn't changed; you don't ride in a MINI, you put it on. It becomes an extension of your body.

We went from a 2001 Toyota Sequoia (the Big Tree SUV) with 140,000 miles on it, to our 2008 MCSC Sparkling Silver Sidewalk. Big change.

Cargo space is an obvious difference, but we honestly only rarely needed so much room. I don't lug so much teacher stuff back and forth anymore. Costco is feasible, except for major purchases. Mulch, manure compost, and other garden goods go in my dad's pickup. The big tree SUV sits patiently and gets driven about once a week now.

I do feel like larger cars (everyone) encroach on my driving space. This is Texas, so we have a large share of big vehicle/low driving I.Q. drivers on the road.

Lately I notice that other drivers seem to perceive me as smaller, therefore slower, even though I'm traveling at or slightly above posted speed limits, and always with the flow of traffic and out of the passing lanes. I get passed on both sides by yahoos who quickly get stuck in the wolfpacks up ahead.

Sometimes I still drive the MINI like an SUV, too conservative for the handling abilities, but I'm slowly getting a feel for it.

And I LOVE driving stick again!

That's anywhere! Currently I'm in TN and it's REALLY bad! In MI it's pretty bad too! If it's not low IQ, then it's that they are more important than you so get out of the way!

Last June when hubby bought his Mini I thought he was nuts. I was scared to death in such a little car. He was driving a 85 mustang gt. (gas hog) i'm driving an 02 F150 after seeing the truck and mini compared in crash tests I would rather be in a mini. I'm ordering my mini this week and getting rid of the gas hog F150 Now i'm just stuck on which color i've changed my mind a few times. Convertible or panoramic sun roof so many decisions to make. S or non S. I just love these little cars. I saw a bumper sticker on a mini the other day that said yes this is my truck and no I won't help you move. LOL I thought that was great. We also got the grill badge that says Hummer escape pod.

Soon, very soon, I hope.

The plan was for me to trade in the '02 MDX this year, buy an MCS for myself and a nice safe used car for my oldest, then give her car (a '98 626 Sedan) to my youngest.

626 was rear-ended and totaled just before Christmas. Since oldest is in college and doesn't need a car on campus, bought a used Scion for youngest.

Plan B is me still getting my MCS and passing the MDX to oldest - at today's gas prices I couldn't trade it in for much anyway.

I parked my hd 2500 diesel for a 08 mini s. Still need the truck to haul boat and trailer when I can aford it. Did not find the change in size bad have a lot more fun going around corners than being high up looking down.

Heh, I traded a Dodge Ram 3500 4x4 diesel dually in on my Mini. I still have a Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 diesel . I can throw the Mini in the back and take it to the shop when it breaks.

Got rid of the Chevy Super Sports Roadster with its wonderful roaring engine and absolutely fell in love with the service and build quality of my wifes 03 mini. Afetr 4 and a half years, the service for her was amazing. GM service was abysmal at best and they have lost me for good as a customer due to such terrible service issues. Every time I brought the SSR in and it was often, they either broke something not broken in addition to not fixing what was broken. They are both amazingly fun vehicles to drive for sure.
Now if they could just get my new ClubmanS here everything would be great!
