Hi guys, I found this site when looking for a local mechanic!
I've had my green/white Mini Cooper since 2004, and now it's paid off! I've put 60k miles on it, mostly driving to work between Bowie and Ellicott City, Maryland.
So now that I don't get free maintenance from Tate Mini, and I've worn through my first set of brakes and tires, and found out how much they want for the brakes ($1500!!!!) I need to find someone to put on some better, and less expensive, aftermarket brakes and rotors.
It looks like EBC GreenStuff pads are the way to go, but I have no clue about the rotors.... any thoughts?

Cool, thanks! The problem I have with the stock rotors is that they wear out so fast! I've never had a pair of rotors go at only 60k miles. Need to be turned, yes, but Tate Mini told me these things are designed to wear out *with* the pads. Of course, they also told me my water pump was leaking (which explains the lack of water spots on my garage floor, I suppose) so I don't trust them any more...
Followup: I got my new rotors in the mail yesterday, ATE PremiumOne sorta-slotted rotors for the front. They cost the same as the Brembo plain rotors on tirerack; I don't actually need slots, so I was going for the plain ones -- but they're out of stock EVERYWHERE, and I need new brakes this month.
