performance parts

I am the proud owner of a BRG and white 2006 base MINI. His name is Nigel and I have been quite pleased in the 2 years of ownership. For his 2nd birthday, Nigel is getting a couple of gifts. I am adding a K&N Typhoon cold air intake (on back order, won't get it for another week ) and a Magnaflow cat back exhaust system scheduled to be installed this weekend. Has anyone else added this combo or one similar to it? If so, what are your impressions/experiences as far as performance, sound level/quality and fuel economy? Any input would be appreciated. Hopefully Nigel and I will like these mods.
Thank you

Welcome to the board.

You might get a response or two here, but if you don't get much response, you might try posting this question under the 1st Generation Mods section. I'm sure people have done this combination and can speak to it. The group in this forum tends to be newbies waiting for delivery, so a lot of the experienced people you want to hear from won't see your question.
