Greetings All! Have a couple questions.

Hi Folks,
Just a newbie to this board, and MC in general. Looking hard at picking up a new 08 MCS and have a couple of questions for you sages out there.
1) What's the 411 on all the JCW options? In particularly the suspension and tuning kit? Aside from keeping the vehicle in warranty, is it really worth paying the premium? Or, is waiting for the warranty to lapse the thing to do before bolting on some after market performance (intake … exhaust … ECU … etc)?
2) What's the general take on the Sport Pkg. option that includes DSC & sport suspension vs. the JCW suspension option? Is one a better value than the other? Do either the sport suspension or JCW suspension inherently lower the ride height?
3) How popular is the LSD option amongst the Mini community?
4) Do you realize more performance with a light weight aftermarket 16" wheel, or 17" that looks good with some weight savings? I read somewhere the MCS was designed to use a 16" wheel in order to optimize performance.
5) Considering the 6-speed auto with agitronic mode, mainly so that my wife may drive the car as well. Any interesting assessments on this transmission choice?
Please excuse all the questions. Thanks in advance ...
Cheers, -- Bubba

It's a matter of preference. I didn't get any of the extra sport stuff, and decided more on the cosmetic options. It's fast enough for me as it is. We got the 6-speed auto with agitronic also because my wife preferred it. Very happy with it.

One thing we really like is the convenience package.

Good luck!

Appreciate your input! Yes, I guess it all comes down to one's preference with regard to the options. The neat thing about the MCS is that it's a unique and fairly affordable platform to mod.
