I am sure I will have many questions but the first one is...........
I know MINI covers all regular maintenance for 3/36k........My MINI dealer is 90 miles away but my BMW dealer is 30 miles away.
Can BMW take care of the factory regular scheduled maintenance?
Nopers. While BMW owns MINI, their technicians aren't trained on servicing MINIs. You'll have to take it to the MINI dealer to get maintenance.
On the plus side, at least you'll love driving the 90 miles.

I'm in the same boat. I'm in Austin, but the nearest Mini dealer is in San Antonio, so every time I need warranty work I have to head down there.
Fortunately, Mini dealers seem to be expanding. Don't know if the original locations had exclusive franchise rights that recently expired or something, but BMW of Austin is opening a Mini store later this year, and I'm sure it's not alone.
You may want to ask your BMW dealer if anything's in the works in that direction.

Except, once the warranty period is over, they suddenly know how to work on them.
I would always go back to the MINI dealer for warranty work.
I was just thinking for the oil changes and such since it is paid for.

MINI roadside assistance is great, too. I had the car towed from Austin to San Antonio several times, free of charge, because it was under warranty. In that case, it doesn't matter how far the dealership is, because they tow it for free to the nearest one.
