When is the best time to buy a Mini (other than ASAP?)

I am in the process of buying my first Mini and I'm curious to know if anyone has had a better negotiating experience based on the time of year of the purchase. Anything such as a year-end sale on Mini's even exist? I have heard of up to $6000 off for other cars.

Are prices the same in different locations/regions? I would jump on a plane if it meant I could spend more money on options and mods for my new Mini.

Thanks!!

I wouldn't expect much if anything off from a MINI. In CA these cars sell for 3-5k above MSRP, most other places in the country they sell for at MSRP or MSRP and a few freebies.

You might get a better interest rate on the previous year's models or extra freebies around the 1st of the year, but I think you'll find that when it comes to resale value, etc, MINIs hold their value, so you won't find the same deals that you would elsewhere. Search for threads with freebies or discounts in the title. You'll see that the most *on average* that people get off MSRP is about $500.

The best time to buy is about 6 to 8 weeks before you want to take delivery. Order it and have it built just for you!

If you're really looking to save some serious money, then you would be better off buying a used one. There are some really good deals out there if you look hard enough. And trust me, unless you're into having all the latest bells and whistles, the first gen MINI's are still a lot of fun.
