New owner, new mini on order!

Hello all, I am anxiously awaiting my 2008 MCS!!!! I am first time owner and fairly new to this forum, have been reading it every day to learn as much about my new car as possible. This forum is freakin' awesome by the way, thanks for all the great information. So anyways, accoding to owners lounge my car is awaiting shipment as of last Sunday (3/1), but everytime I check the Wallenius Wihlmsen site to track her voyage across the pond it says their is no information available. Does it really take that long to get loaded on the boat or could it be it is on a different boat? Curious to ear others experiences. I purchased it from Cincinnati Mini and my MA told me end of March, early April delivery. I guess I was a bit optimistic when I say that it was already built by March 1st. Anyone else out there near Cincy, how long was your shipment time? One more question, for now, does anyone know if its possible to add remote start through the dealer if you didn't have it equipped initially? I realize it would be more expensive that getting an after-market system installed but I wouldn't want two remotes! I am thinking next winter I may want to add that. Thanks for all the help! Here's the stats btw:

08 MCS: Laser Blue w/ Black Roof, Mirrors, and Bonnet Stripes; Premium Pkg; 17" Crown Spoke Alloy Wheels; All Season Tires; MF Steering Wheel; Checkered Cloth Interior; Rain Sensor & Auto Headlamps

Hi BMac! I'm new to these forums recently too. I am still waiting on my mini that is now at the distribution center in NY. I've noticed that each phase in my mini-making process has taken about a week. Typically every Friday my owners lounge changes to the next stage. My mini was ordered on 2/9/08. Of course, it could be a crazy coinsidence.

Happy Miniing!

i concur it took about a week to get Wednesday on a boat, and as of right now OL still has her waiting on the dock.
and to make matters weirder...she isnt even on Wallenius Wihlmsen line she ended up on K-line! Which at this point I dont care as long as the boat makes it here and she is ok

Congrats on your new baby and hope your wait isnt too much longer!

Welcome, I have an 07 MCS with almost the same equipment. Love it. Don't know about adding the remote start.
