I followed the directions in the "Tracking Your Mini" sticky thread and found a 17 digit # in the "Where is my Baby" web source that starts with DM550813... is this my VIN? I looked up some websites that claim they decode the MINI VIN but they don't match what I found.

 

Your MINI VIN should start with WMWML, and you won't get it until your car is scheduled for production.

 

My VIN showed up the day that my car actually went into production-- I didn't have to look at the source code, just looked on the Review Your Order part of the page and there it was, below my production number.

 

Yeah, mine took a couple or three days to show up under my production number.
